Job Description:

What will you work on?

As a member of the Data & Analytics team, you will be responsible for understanding and transforming our raw data into easily usable data models by building and maintaining data orchestration pipelines, to serve the visualization and analytics needs of the organization. You will collaborate with analytics leads, business stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to enable data that is easily accessible, reliable, and ready for analysis.

How will you create impact?

• Data Modeling & Transformation: Design and implement data models that support analytics and reporting needs. Use SQL or other tools to create and maintain data transformations that power our analytics workflows. Ensure that data models are optimized for performance and scalability, following best practices for data warehousing.
• Data Pipeline Management: Develop, maintain, and support ETL/ELT pipelines to move data from data lake and other internal/external sources into the data warehouse. Utilize GCP services like BigQuery, Dataflow, and Cloud Composer to manage and orchestrate data workflows. Monitor data pipelines to ensure they run efficiently and troubleshoot/fix any issues that arise.
• Analytics Enablement: Collaborate with data visualization engineers, analytics leads and business stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver high-quality datasets for analysis. Create and maintain data documentation, ensuring that datasets are well-understood and easily accessible by data visualization engineers and analytics team. Develop dashboards and reports using tools like Power BI & Tableau to deliver insights to stakeholders.
• Data Quality Assurance & Support: Build a framework for data validation at every step of the data workflow. Ensure data quality is maintained for accurate organization wide reporting. Build automation and error notifications through every step of the workflow. Support & maintain the data models, pipelines & integrity of the data for analytics and self-serve capabilities.
• Collaboration and Communication: Communicate complex data concepts and technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders clearly and effectively. Contribute to the continuous improvement of analytics processes and visualization practices.

What are your skills and experience?

• Experience in data modeling & visualization, with foundational data engineering skills.
• Experience in cloud platforms like Google or Azure or AWS.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in SQL for data querying and transformation.
  • Familiarity with data pipeline tools and ETL processes, with basic experience in Python or another scripting language.
• Knowledge of GCP services related to data processing and storage, such as BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Composer, and Cloud Storage.
• Experience with analytics and visualization tools (e.g., Looker, Power BI, Tableau).
• Experience in SAP and its suite of tools for data extraction would be a plus.
• Experience with dbt (Data Build Tool) for data transformations would be a plus.
• Experience with version control systems like Git and CI/CD pipelines would be a plus.
• Experience in a CPG or Toy industry would be a plus.
