Walmart is seeking an experienced Group Director, Product Management to lead the Fraud and Risk pillar within our Transactional Systems division. This strategic role will be instrumental in advancing Walmart’s global, omni-channel fraud and compliance risk management solutions, unifying the Buyer, Seller (Marketplace), and Driver (Last Mile Delivery) ecosystems.
As a key leader, you will drive the integration of a seamless, fraud-free shopping experience with robust regulatory compliance. Leveraging omni-channel data and AI/ML technologies, you will enhance our predictive, real-time risk management platform, tools, and services. About the Team

The Walmart Transactional Systems team optimizes billions of payments through advanced analytics and machine learning. We build and operate a real-time data platform that powers revenue growth, fraud prevention, and enhanced customer experiences across Payments, Directed Spend, Checkout, and Incentives. Our team is responsible for developing and deploying ML models that prevent fraud and compliance risk, drive revenue growth, strengthen platform resiliency, and increase customer engagement.

What You Wil Do

Product Strategy: Define and execute the product strategy for Revenue Intelligence & Customer Engagement team with the vision to enhance revenue generation and customer engagement.

Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner with engineering, design, and business teams to prioritize and deliver high-impact product features and continuous improvements. 

Data-Driven Innovation: Leverage data insights and AI/ML to create automated resiliency, elevate customer experiences, and optimize revenue generation.

Performance Metrics: Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the success of initiatives and provide regular updates to stakeholders on progress and outcomes. 

Partnership Development: Build strong relationships with Treasury, Merchandising, Membership, Asset Protection teams to optimize engagement and deliver business value

Market Awareness: Keep a pulse on industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive dynamics to refine and adapt product strategies.

Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with finance, business, partner product and tech teams to align initiatives with broader business goals.

Focus on Our Associates: Build and lead high-performing, diverse teams by driving inclusive strategies, fostering strong relationships, and promoting collaboration across functions to achieve shared goals.

Key Skills

  • Product Management, Business Strategy, Data Strategy, AI and ML, Data Analysis, Stakeholder and Change Management 

  • Experienced leader in Fraud and Governance, retail or financial services industry

  • Define vision and strategies for product content creation at Walmart, using domain expertise, internal and external best practices, identifying opportunities, building business cases, and gaining alignment in multiple internal and external stakeholder communities

  • Experience in building data products leveraging data science (AI and ML) – for fraud and compliance risk management.

  • Strong experience in successfully building and managing high-performing product teams

  • Passion for technology, willingness to dive deep into the technical products Walmart is building, and commitment to learning and expanding technical knowledge

  • Build compelling business cases and ROIs and proactively drive business insights and optimizations.

  • Developing and delivering on the financial plan for area of responsibility.

  • Developing and providing recommendations to business on long-term investments (for example, acquisitions, disruptive technology)

  • Capitalizing on domain expertise; identifying and anticipating market opportunities based on an in-depth understanding of the market and competition; overseeing the execution of competitive assessments, identifying and facilitating disruptive innovation opportunities; approving business cases; prioritizing and allocating resources; and approving objectives and key performance indicators.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in business administration, Computer Science, Engineering or related field.

  • 12 years’ experience in leading product or solution development.

  • 12 years’ experience gathering, identifying, defining, and communicating requirements.

  • 10 years’ experience consulting and advising business partners utilizing detailed analysis.

  • 6 years' experience building and leading high performing teams.

  • Proven track record of successful product creation with measurable and significant business impact.
