The Position

The Team

Global Customer Support (GCS) is the global organization responsible for Technical Services in the Diagnostics Division, which ensures end-user success. GCS supports the service organizations of the Roche affiliates and the Lifecycle Teams. 

The GCS Project & Portfolio Excellence Organizational Effectiveness team empowers the service & support community through data-driven co-created insights to successfully and sustainably enhance service efficiency while ensuring customer satisfaction.

The Role
The Service Data Analyst Intern will support the Service Analytics team in developing and maintaining data-driven solutions, such as dashboards and reports, to provide actionable insights for the entire Service Organization. This internship provides hands-on experience with data visualization tools, data analysis, and collaboration with cross-functional and international teams. The intern will work closely with experienced analysts, contributing to the development of service analytics while gaining exposure to best practices in data visualization, governance, and stakeholder engagement.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development of Service Analytics solutions (Tableau Dashboards, Reports…):

    • Support the creation and maintenance of dashboards and reports to provide insights to stakeholders.

    • Ensure data visualizations are clear, accurate, and aligned with business needs.

    • Collaborate with data engineering teams to ensure data reliability and proper governance.

    • Assist in promoting self-service analytics solutions across the organization.

    • Document processes and provide training materials for data consumers.

  • Perform data analysis and insights generation:

    • Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify trends and patterns.

    • Support senior analysts in preparing reports and presentations for stakeholders.

  • Engage in team collaboration and learning:

    • Work in a collaborative and supportive team environment, sharing knowledge and learning from senior analysts.

    • Adhere to established best practices in analytics and data visualization.

    • Participate in discussions to improve service analytics processes and efficiency.

    • Seek mentorship and professional development opportunities within the team.

  • Support stakeholder engagement and business partnering:

    • Assist in gathering and understanding data requirements from stakeholders.

    • Help prepare and present reports to business units such as GCS managers, regional leads, and affiliates.

    • Contribute to projects from conception to completion, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

Who You Are:

We are looking for someone self-motivated, really passionate about his or her job, and understands that providing a high-quality service is crucial for the organization. Apply if you are

  • Studies background from a university and recent graduate -no more than 3 years- in the fields of Data Science, Business Analytics, Statistics, Finance, Engineering, or a related field...

  • Strong communicator in English at full professional proficiency.

  • Some experience in data analysis, visualization, or related areas (academic projects or internships preferred).

  • Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Thoughtspot, Power BI, Looker).

  • Understanding of SQL and data manipulation; familiarity with Python or R is a plus.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

  • Good communication skills to interact with stakeholders and present findings clearly.

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and demonstrate a willingness to learn.

  • A team player who truly believes that together we can go further.

  • Not afraid to fail and learn.

  • Comfort with uncertainty.

  • We are offering a one-year contract starting ideally from May 2025.
