The A&T Data Science team in Micron Technology, Inc. reports to Smart Manufacturing and Artificial Intelligence (SMAI) department. This team mainly supports company-wide AI solutions enablement from intelligent manufacturing to optimize operation in Assembly & Test (A&T) area. This team works in Micron Taichung office, but collaborates with worldwide users and developers closely and frequently. Our vision is to solve the manufacturing difficulty efficiently. So the provided solutions will be delivered from proof-of-concept stage in fast-paced to precise official version. The implemented solutions support advanced package technology development, equipment and process control, also the product yield/quality assurance. The delivered solutions impact the business includes discover yield improvement opportunities quickly, mitigate manufacturing risks actively, improve the process optimization efficiently, and handle the quality deviation management easily.

Position Overview...

As a Data Science (DS) Manager at Micron, you'll responsible for delivering smart manufacturing solutions by leading a data scientist team. The management works include conveying corporate business initiatives and corporate strategic objectives within team; develops team capability, sophisticates business requirements and tactical challenges; also passionate about leading and participating novel AI skills learn and implement continuously.

This position will collaborate with different functional teams, including technical support teams, operation engineering teams, and business strategies partners. We're seeking a creative individual who has good communication skill, and enjoys the process of helping the manufacturing process, quality, and yield improvement by applying proper data science tools and techniques.

Responsibilities and Tasks

• Develop team potential and optimize team efficiency continuously.
• Lead data science solutions from initiative, design, development to operation support
• Collaborate with business strategic partners on solution implementation and adoption tracking
• Provide inputs to senior management on strategic decisions
• Ensure a safe, compliant and ethical work environment.

Requirements:

• 5 years of technical experience in information engineering, statistics, computer science, or related field
• 2 years of management or leadership experience on data solution deliver team, like machine learning engineer, data scientist, data analyst, etc.
• Shown problem solving, data analysis, and technical skills to identify, quantify, and address business problems.
• Good interpersonal capability with the ability to communicate analytical findings and applications to peers/leaders/business partners at a non-technical level.
• Strategically focused, impact oriented, highly organized and adaptable
