Role Overview
We are seeking a visionary Head of Business Intelligence to shape the strategic direction of marketing efforts through data, insights, and technology. In this role, you will lead a small but high-performing team of data analysts and audience insights specialists. Your mission is to integrate disparate tools and platforms, leverage cutting-edge AI innovations, and deliver actionable cultural insights that drive impactful social media and mobile marketing campaigns for a portfolio of iconic brands.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Leadership
- Develop and execute a comprehensive social media intelligence strategy aligned with the client’s marketing objectives across multiple brands.
- Serve as the go-to expert for integrating data science into marketing initiatives, particularly in social media and mobile-first environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (creative, media, influence, and brand) to translate data insights into actionable marketing strategies.
2. Data Science & Analytics
- Lead the design and implementation of advanced analytics models to uncover customer nuances, campaign performance, and market trends.
- Stay ahead of emerging technologies in AI, machine learning, and predictive analytics, applying them to optimize marketing outcomes.
- Integrate disparate tools, platforms, and datasets to create a unified view of audience insights and campaign performance.
3. Social Media & Mobile Marketing Expertise
- Drive innovation in social media marketing strategies, with a focus on mobile-first platforms and consumer engagement.
- Use data to inform content creation, audience targeting, and platform selection to maximize ROI.
4. Team Leadership
- Manage and mentor a small team of data analysts and audience insights specialists, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
- Ensure the team delivers high-quality insights and recommendations that influence decision-making at all levels and promote data-informed creative ideation for both small and large campaigns.
5. Reporting & Communication
- Deliver clear, concise, and visually compelling reports and dashboards to stakeholders, highlighting key insights and opportunities.
- Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership, both internally and on the client side.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field. A Master’s degree is strongly preferred.
Experience
- 8+ years of experience in a data-driven marketing role, with a proven track record of success in social media and mobile marketing. Experience in an agency environment is a plus.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Python, R, SQL, or similar.
- Hands-on experience with BI tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
- Familiarity with AI and machine learning technologies and their application in marketing.
- Knowledge of integrating disparate marketing tools and platforms (e.g., CRM, CDPs, social listening tools).
Marketing Expertise
- Deep understanding of social media marketing strategies, mobile-first platforms, and audience segmentation.
Leadership
- Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team, manage multiple priorities, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
Communication
- Strong storytelling skills, with the ability to simplify complex data for non-technical audiences.
