Senior Data Scientist

What you will do

You will join Data & Analytics where you will work side by side with skilled Data Scientists and Data Engineers. The team is part of the global department IT & Digital Enablement (IT&DE) supporting the entire VELUX Group.

In the role, you will be working on exciting projects with high ambitions and visibility. You will do this in collaboration with colleagues within the team as well as colleagues and stakeholders from other functions in VELUX.

As Senior Data Scientist part of your responsibilities will be to mentor and guide more junior colleagues and to promote a culture of knowledge sharing within the team.

Your work and responsibilities will include:

• Development of AI & GenAI platform

• Development and implementation of advanced machine learning models for use in production processes (e.g., working with image recognition and explainable AI at scale)

• Specific LLM initiatives (incl. agents) for automation purposes

• Data pipeline development and optimization

• Model monitoring and performance analysis (ML Ops)

• Cross-functional collaboration on AI projects across business domains

You will be part of a global organisation and an international team and will be based at our Head Office in Hørsholm, Denmark. We utilise our available technology to work virtually and flexible but you can expect some travelling.

Who you are

We are seeking candidates with solid experience in data science with great programming, as well as communication and collaboration skills. You have a high level of responsibility for individual work and teamwork and you are able to manage your own projects efficiently.

It is a requirement that you are fluent in English (spoken and written).

To meet the demands of the position, we are looking for you who have experience with the following technologies:

• Python

• TensorFlow / PyTorch

• SQL

• Docker

• Kubernetes

• Git

• CI/CD pipelines

It is a benefit, but is not a requirement if you also know Snowflake & dbt, Azure, MLOps frameworks and Kafka or other streaming technologies
