Robinson is looking for a Senior Business Intelligence Developer to design, develop, and maintain data-driven solutions that enhance business operations. In this role, you will assess business processes, anticipate requirements, and identify areas for improvement. You will extract and interpret complex data to provide actionable insights through reports, visualizations, and interactive dashboards. Success in this position requires both technical proficiency and strong communication skills to collaborate across all organizational levels.
Responsibilities:
Analyze internal and external business challenges, recommending best practices to improve products, processes, and services.
Extract, clean, and interpret data to address ambiguous questions, partnering with stakeholders to develop data-driven solutions.
Proactively identify operational improvements through data insights and provide fact-based recommendations.
Develop and maintain BI solutions, including dashboards, data models, and ad hoc reports.
Translate business needs into clear, actionable technical specifications.
Create compelling visualizations and reports using tools like Power BI and Tableau.
Write and optimize database queries for data analysis and reporting.
Maintain technical documentation, ensuring best practices for system performance and maintainability.
Provide mentorship and leadership within the BI team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Partner with cross-functional teams, including analytics, operations, and leadership, to develop predictive solutions and drive strategic initiatives.
Develop scalable data-fueled products to enhance supply chain services.
Communicate complex analytical insights through professional presentations and reports.
Lead and participate in meetings, reporting project progress and escalating issues when necessary.
Serve as the primary contact for assigned business areas, ensuring timely responses to inquiries and issue resolution.
Advocate for data integrity, testing, and validation to ensure accuracy in reporting and analysis.
Contribute to the development of best-in-class reporting frameworks and data governance standards.
Build and maintain key data sets to support operational and exploratory analysis.
Promote a positive and inclusive team environment, driving collaboration and innovation.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of 4 years of experience in analytics and BI development, leveraging comprehensive data assets.
Advanced proficiency in a programming language used for data analysis (e.g., SQL, Python, R).
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business Intelligence).
Experience working with Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI visualization tools.
Experience in logistics and supply chain analytics.
Expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong competency in the broader Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong understanding of data fundamentals, with a passion for data integrity, validation, and testing.
Experience collaborating with product teams in an iterative development environment.
Ability to travel up to 10%
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to translate technical insights into business impact.
