Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Azure Data Architect to lead our data management and architecture initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, and other Azure data tools, with expertise in implementing secure, scalable, and reliable Azure solutions. This role involves enhancing data access, optimizing data workflows, and maintaining high standards of data security and compliance.

Requirements

• Evaluate and recommend data management processes to enhance performance and cost efficiency.
• Design, prepare, and optimize data pipelines and workflows using Azure data tools.
• Lead implementations of secure, scalable, and reliable Azure solutions.
• Monitor Azure environments to optimize performance and cost.
• Foster security best practices, access controls, and compliance standards for all data resources.
• Design and optimize fact and dimension table models.
• Develop and maintain data pipelines, ensuring data accessibility and quality.
• Provide expert guidance on Data Vault 2.0 methodologies using Wherescape automation software.
• Perform knowledge transfer and document Azure architectures and solutions effectively.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Deep understanding of Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, and related Azure data tools.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience with large and complex database management systems.
• Expertise in SQL, with proficiency in Python or PowerShell preferred.
• Strong skills in data collection, storage, accessibility, and quality improvement processes.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with both technical and non-technical team members.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent work experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in designing, creating, and maintaining data marts.
• Demonstrated ability to lead data architecture projects and teams.
• Familiarity with implementing Data Vault 2.0 methodologies and automation software.
