We are seeking a Data Engineer – expertise in Looker, LookML, SQL, and API-driven data distribution. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building complex analytical reports, designing scalable data models in LookML, and developing APIs to enable seamless data access for end-users. Core Responsibilities:
- Develop, optimize, and maintain analytical reports in Looker, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and usability for business stakeholders.
- Design and implement scalable LookML models, enabling flexible and reusable data exploration layers.
- Optimize SQL queries and data transformations to improve reporting performance and scalability.
- Build APIs and services to provide real-time and batch data access to end users and external applications.
- Integrate and embed Looker analytics into customer-facing applications, ensuring seamless access to insights.
- Collaborate with business teams, data analysts, and engineers to understand data requirements and build intuitive reporting solutions.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and governance across analytics platforms.
- Monitor and troubleshoot performance issues in Looker, SQL queries, and API services.
- Implement complex data testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines for Looker models to ensure reliability and efficiency.
- Stay up to date with best practices in Looker, BI tools, and data engineering to continuously enhance data products.
- Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
- Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or business intelligence development.
- Familiarity or Experience in Looker and LookML or Power BI or Tableau
- Proficiency in SQL, including query optimization, data modeling, and transformation techniques.
- Familiarity with building APIs and data services to expose analytical insights to internal and external users.
- Experience with modern cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, ClickHouse, AWS S3).
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to troubleshoot data issues effectively.

Primary Location Pay Range: $100,118.14 - $150,177.21Comcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience. Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Comcast provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a Commission under the terms of an applicable plan, while most non-sales positions are eligible for a Bonus.
