Banamex. Data Quality Analytics and Reporting Group Manager - C14

The Data Quality Analytics & Reporting Group Manager is accountable for management of complex/critical working groups and solutions in coordination with the Data Quality Analytics & Reporting team. Requires a comprehensive understanding of multiple areas within a function and how they interact to achieve strategic enterprise objectives. Applies in-depth understanding of enterprise impact of contributions. Strong technical awareness is a necessity. Excellent communication skills required to negotiate internally, often at a senior level.  Leads and directs a team of professionals and is accountable for the end results of the team.

Responsibilities:

• Manages multiple teams or a functional area, while maintaining appropriate staffing requirements to meet operational needs
• Applies comprehensive understanding of concepts and procedures within own area and basic knowledge of other areas to resolve issues that have impact beyond own area
• Ensures creation and sign-off of program plan and charter, benefits management plan, stakeholder management plan, acceptance plan, central program issue log; also ensures all program documentation are accurate and understood
• Escalates program risks to the Program Director, or Program Sponsor, when appropriate
• Monitors vendor performance and ensures actions are taken if performance warrants
• Exercises responsibility for budget, policy formulation and planning
• Ensures that the system impact for any related solutions is considered in the change management process prior to implementation
• Proactively communicate meaningful updates & insights with a variety of stakeholders, including executive stakeholders & oversight partners, clearly & precisely to help management understand progress and risks
• Applies knowledge and understanding of the businesses to solve a great variety of problems - by working directly with the senior business leaders
• Is consulted often by others for advice and opinions. Partners should rely on his/her abilities to deliver the desired solution without feeling it necessary to monitor the progress at the micro level
• Develop strategies to reduce costs, manage risk and enhance services

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience, Banking or Finance industry preferred
• Experience defining and implementing Data Quality programs
• Experience / Certifications in Agile Methodology preferred
• Experience monitoring and managing Data Quality on an ongoing basis, including identifying and resolving issues; executing against Data Quality strategies and policies
• Communicates effectively, develops and delivers multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences; able to drive consensus, and influence relationships at all levels
• Collaborates effectively by building partnerships and working well with others to meet shared objectives
• Ability to gain confidence and trust of others through honesty, integrity and authenticity
• Strong negotiation, influencing and stakeholder management skills across a variety of stakeholders at different levels
• Optimizes work processes by balancing effective / efficient processes with a focus on continuous improvement. Demonstrates ability to balance between understanding the “big picture” while paying close attention to detail
• Organizational savvy; understands systems, management processes, knows where to go for information and how to interpret them
• Experience creating and being a champion for a positive risk culture that supports sustainable business growth through transparent engagement, a partnership approach, and a no-tolerance approach for behavior that exposes the organization to an inappropriate amount of risk

Education:

• Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred

Formación Académica

• Título universitario en áreas afines a Tecnologías de la Información, Ingeniería, Estadística, Administración de Empresas o campos relacionados.
• Se valorará formación adicional en Business Intelligence, Analytics o gestión de datos.

Experiencia Laboral

• Experiencia mínima de 15 años en proyectos de toma de decisiones, Business Intelligence y Analytics.
• 15 años de experiencia en la gestión de bases de datos tradicionales y modernas.
• Amplia experiencia en la creación y gestión de KPIs, tableros de control y análisis de información.
• Experiencia en entornos que requieren la integración de datos provenientes de diversas fuentes y su modelado para análisis.
• Acostumbrado a trabajar bajo presión en ambientes de alto cambio.

Conocimientos Técnicos y Habilidades

• Experiencia con bases de datos relacionales tradicionales (Oracle, SQL Server).
• Conocimiento de bases de datos dimensionales como Teradata.
• Experiencia con soluciones en la nube (AWS, Snowflake).
• Dominio en herramientas analíticas como SAAS Institute, SAP BW, MicroStrategy, IBM Cognos, PowerBI, SAP Business Objects, Qlik View, Qliksense, Tableau, entre otras.
• Experiencia amplia en procesos ETL utilizando herramientas como ABInitio o Informatica.
• Conocimiento avanzado en SQL y en la gestión de bases de datos.
• Capacidad para definir, implementar y monitorear KPIs que apoyen la toma de decisiones en la organización.
• Experiencia en el diseño y desarrollo de tableros de control y sistemas OLAP (ROLAP, MOLAP).
• Conocimiento de sistemas OLTP para comprender el flujo de datos operacionales y su integración en los análisis.
• Se considera un plus tener conocimientos y experiencia en middleware o APIs para la integración de sistemas y fuentes de datos.
• Idiomas
• Inglés y español avanzado, con dominio de inglés de negocios orientado a tecnología y finanzas.
