Machine Learning Intern

The hydrodynamic machine learning group at Leidos is looking for a summer intern to support ongoing research efforts in undersea acoustics.

The intern will be involved in signal processing, neural network design and performance evaluation using time series data from a novel sensing modality. 

Basic qualifications include:

• Must be enrolled in Bachelor’s Degree program at the Junior/Senior level in Physics, Applied Math or Engineering academic tracks. 

• machine learning coursework

• strong Py-Torch programming

• experience in designing

• training and evaluating neural networks past or ongoing

• US citizenship is required

• U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a DoD security clearance.

• Signal processing or nonlinear time series analysis experience preferred

• Internship runs from mid-May through the end of August.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Direct machine learning experience involving neural network design, training, and evaluation.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $46,800.00 - $84,600.00
