Background
This role is responsible for executing and deploying best-in-class capabilities across process, organization, and technology implementation in Unilever. The Assistant Planning Capabilities Manager will be responsible for contributing to and implementing up and transformation projects in the Supply and Material Planning space. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of digital technologies and the ability to engage with cross-functional teams. Candidate should have significant track record of impactful technology delivery driven by a deep expertise across supply chain planning & experienced change leader who can build and deploy capabilities to deliver results in a multi-cultural environment.
Supply planning process excellence
Collaborate and deploy tools in area of material planning, plan – procurement & supply planning.
Lead implementation of future digital transformation roadmap in supply and material planning and analytics technologies
Main purpose of job:
The purpose of this role would be to execute the capability roadmap and the operating model basis technology transformation in the Supply Planning and Material Planning space. Also, within the space of supply planning, you will be responsible for the innovation funnel, liaising with the business to define business solutions covering data, process, people and technology.
The person in this role will be required to work very closely with regional MRP excellence, Supply Planning Excellence along with partnering with partnering with SMEs, Consultants, Analysts and Delivery Teams (HAP, Platform, Procurement IT teams).
The person in this role would be in a key position to understand the business requirements, target stakeholders for capability building and map the current operating procedure. Identify pain points and inefficiencies in the current operations and propose unified end to end digital solutions.
Basis the understanding, the person would need to build the framework and new operating procedure required to guide the technical teams’ development of capabilities in the SP & MRP Space. Play a pivotal role in the day-to-day operations of the transformation project lifecycle -
Engage with the tech team for BRD playbacks.
Interface with the tech teams to convert the BRD to a Function Design Document.
Lead creation of test cases and scenario building to be shared with tech teams for SIT.
Lead Training Document creation for End Users.
Engage with end users for UAT and monitor issues and identify resolutions.
Train and mentor key users on digital tools and best practices.
Monitor and report on the progress across different phases of the projects, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
Experience and qualifications required:
4 to 7 years of experience in Digital transformation projects in Supply chain (Planning/ Procurement).
Proven experience in SC with a track record of delivering new capabilities and global exposure.
Hands on experience on end-to-end life cycle of transformation projects.
Holistic experience in Requirement/Data analysis, Data Profiling, Development, Testing, migration, Go Live, BAU support, documentation.
Technology acumen:
Hands on Experience in ETL Processes and data Analytics (Tools: SQL, Python, R etc)
Understanding of SAP APO/ ECC (Demand and Supply Planning),
AERA Competencies
Understanding of data bases and architecture
Ability to create mock-ups using Canva / Figma / Adobe XD etc
Good to have:
Prior experience in Supplier Collaboration Projects.
Basic financial skills
Basic Machine Learning understanding
Project management, Planning experience.
University degree – masters preferred
Supply chain certification (APICS or similar).
Competencies:
Strong Planning fundamentals.
Strong Communication skills.
Strong Data and analytical skills.
Strong in Strategic influencing.
Well-developed ability to build a team/network, train and empower them and hold accountable.
