AI Solutions Development – Internship

Job Summary

The AI Solutions Development Intern will gain experience in project mapping, process automation, and developing AI-driven solutions to improve operational efficiency. This role involves using advanced analytics and machine learning to identify automation opportunities and contributing to SHI's AI Lab and Use Case demo room. The intern will participate in digital transformation projects, covering the full system development life cycle, and use Robotic Process Automation (RPA) tools to enhance process reliability and efficiency. A passion for data science, multidisciplinary collaboration, and effective communication skills are essential for this position. 

This position will report to the Somerset, NJ office location.

Responsibilities

Include, but not limited to:  

• Shadow partner teams to understand processes and identify areas for improvement in IT infrastructure operations. 

• Utilize AI techniques to identify opportunities for process and operational automation. 

• Develop and test code to automate processes, ensuring reliability and accuracy. 

• Stay up to date with AI technology and solutions. 

• Provide regular updates to management on project milestones. 

• Work closely with the data science team to clean, preprocess, and analyze large datasets for actionable insights. 

• Assist in developing and implementing machine learning models for specific applications, such as customer segmentation and predictive analytics. 

• Collaborate on the design and execution of experiments and contribute to interpreting results. 

• Support the creation of interactive data visualizations to communicate complex findings effectively. 

• Explore and evaluate new data sources and technologies to enhance analytical capabilities. 

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into data-driven solutions. 

• Document and present work to both technical and non-technical audiences. 

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled as a junior or senior in good academic standing working towards a bachelor's degree in computer science, information system or related field   
• Familiarity with programming languages, such as Python or JavaScript. 
• Experience with AI technologies and basic machine learning concepts and frameworks. 
• Proficiency in data manipulation tools and libraries, such as Pandas and NumPy. 
• Knowledge of database technologies and data visualization tools. 
• Experience with Robotic Process Automation (RPA) tools like Automation Anywhere, UIPath, or Blue Prism.

• Strong coding skills in Python and JavaScript.

Unique Requirements

• The intern selected will be required to work 29 hours a week over a specified 12-week duration. 

Additional Information

• The hourly pay range for this position is $20.00/Hr.
