What We Offer
The City and County of Denver offers a competitive salary commensurate with education and experience. The salary target range we are looking to offer is $85,000 - $115,000. We also offer generous benefits for full-time employees which include but are not limited to:

Location
The City and County of Denver supports a hybrid workplace model. Employees work where needed, at a job site several days a week and off-site as needed. Employees must work within the state of Colorado on their off-site days.
The City and County of Denver utilizes a hybrid model workplace that balances the responsibilities of public service with the benefits of a flexible work environment. Employees work where needed, at a city site and/or in the field at least 3 day a week and telecommute remotely at a designated workplace within the State of Colorado the remaining days.
What You’ll Do
The Denver International Airport Culture and Strategy division is currently seeking an experienced Senior Systems Information Analyst to join the team. As part of the DEN Chief of Staff portfolio, the Culture & Strategy Division is responsible for leading DEN’s efforts in four key areas impacting the entire organization and our stakeholders: Vision 100 Strategic Plan and Continuous Improvement, Equity & Inclusion, Airport Access & Business Opportunity and Outreach & Engagement efforts. The Senior Data Analyst role is assigned a hybrid work schedule and will report to the Senior Director of Strategy & Innovation.
In this role, you will have the opportunity contribute to DEN’s success through the following job responsibilities:
- Build strong trustworthy working relationships with staff at all levels of the organization and a wide range of stakeholders and customers.
- Provide critical support to our Vision 100 strategic planning and performance management efforts, including supporting division leaders in the identification and reporting of relevant strategic and operational metrics to monitor goal progress.
- Support development of performance-based division-level work plans including developing tools to incorporate key measures to support decision making and accurate stakeholder reporting.
- Collaborate with team members to identify and develop analytic opportunities to bolster engagement, reduce risk and improve operational efficiency and effectiveness across DEN.
- Assist in the development of an interactive data environment for DEN. Support efforts to create robust performance measurement models that provide insight into the relationship between individual, division and enterprise level goals.
- Develop methods for collecting and managing large data sets across disparate systems and sources that allow for the efficient analysis, storage, and retrieval of data measures.
- Create and deliver effective skills-based training for teams across DEN in the use of data analysis and associated tools to support operational management and decision-making.

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:
We are looking for a detail-oriented individual passionate about leveraging data to guide strategic, long-term efforts across the organization and bringing others on the journey to make long-lasting, system-wide improvement. An individual who can work independently and is comfortable with project ambiguity yet appreciates the need to drive work to completion within stated timelines. The successful candidate must be able to translate complex data analyses into actionable information for a broad range of audiences within and outside the DEN Enterprise. Our ideal candidate may have some or all of the following:
- Experience in the design, development, and maintenance of dynamic reporting systems, including real-time data dashboards using Microsoft Power BI, Power Automate, and Power Apps.
- Proficiency in SQL/SQL Server and Data Analysis Expressions (DAX), strong programming skills in Python, and expertise with data analytics software such as Stata, R, JMP, SAS, and PySpark.
- Demonstrated experience in data processing, database programming, and advanced analytics, including machine learning, data mining, data cleansing, and business intelligence capabilities.
Required Minimum Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Business Administration, or other related field.
- Experience: Three (3) years of data analytics experience. By position, three (3) years of audit experience or combination of audit and data analytics.
- Experience Equivalency: One (1) year of the appropriate type and level of experience may be substituted for each required year of posthigh school education. Additional appropriate education may be substituted for the minimum experience requirements.
- Licensure & Certification- none.
