As a Senior Manager Data and Integration in AbbVie Business Technology Solutions (BTS), you’ll have opportunities to contribute to the modernization of data ecosystem of a leading biopharma company, helping to create solutions that impact patients and their communities for the better.
As a Data and Integration Senior Manager you will manage a team of data engineers, integration developers and analysts working on building scalable data and integration solutions supporting our Commercial Aesthetics business. This role is key to end-to-end solution delivery and will require you to manage stakeholders, collaborate with other towers within Allergan Aesthetics technology teams, participate in architecture design discussions, and guide and mentor developers. The ideal candidate will have outstanding communication and problem solving skills, proven data design and implementation capabilities, business acumen, and a highly developed drive to deliver results.
Responsibilities
- Provide management and hands-on, expert-level assistance to developers and serve as a subject matter expert of our data warehouse and system integrations, including developing deep understanding from an architecture, technical, and business perspective.
- Lead the team (internal and external resources) on production support and new projects that optimize data assets, data flows, and system integrations leveraging Snowflake, AWS, Mulesoft, Informatica Integration Cloud Data Services (IICS), and Kafka.
- Provide data and integration design and architecture recommendations while leading working sessions with multiple stakeholders who may have conflicting requirements
- Transform data into actionable insights and recommendations. This includes troubleshooting and fixing data issues, processing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of data used for analysis.
- Ensure the security aspects of data management are implemented such as protecting data stored and processed in the cloud, encompassing measures like encryption, access control, identity management, and compliance protocols
- Contribute innovative ideas and perspectives to develop new or improved solutions by understanding the business processes and challenges that impact our business partners.
- Drive continuous improvement of the Aesthetics data ecosystem towards optimizing our technology investments.
- Effectively manage budget, provide detailed development estimates, stakeholder communication, and participate in project intake activities.
- Ensure compliance with SLC, internal IT audit, and other AbbVie policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree with 8+ years of experience, preferably in software engineering, data science, computer science, business, information systems, or a discipline closely related to the client area served.
- Demonstrate proficiency across a range of technologies related to integration, visualization, and analysis of large and complex data sets.
- 5+ years of experience with Snowflake cloud data warehouse (Snow pipe, Stored Procs, Snowpark, Dynamic Tables, CTE) and ability to write/analyze SQL queries.
- 3+ years of experience in developing and deploying solutions in a Cloud environment (AWS, Azure) with large datasets and with streaming data architectures.
- Experience with data catalog, ingestion, streaming, pipeline, orchestration tools such as Informatica (IICS), Mulesoft, Kafka, Autosys, Alation, and Atlan.
- Experience with project management, vendor management, change management and managing DevOps teams using CI/CD tools (Jira, Azure Repo, and GitLab) consisting of onshore/offshore/near shore resources, in a multi-vendor environment.
- Industry experience in master data, metadata, data architecture, data governance, data quality and data modeling.
- Experience in data quality tools, including data profiling, cleansing and identity resolution.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills
- Plus to have experience with Life Sciences Pharmaceutical Commercial and Sales Operations group, including insights into Sales.

Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range.
