About the role:

As a Business Intelligence Analyst (Power BI), you will be responsible for transforming data into meaningful insights that support business decision-making. You will work closely with stakeholders across the organization to understand their reporting needs and translate them into effective Power BI dashboards. Your role will also involve ensuring data integrity, optimising report performance, and continuously improving our business intelligence capabilities. What you’ll do:

• Create, maintain, and enhance interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI, ensuring data is presented in a clear and actionable format

• Work closely with business users to gather reporting requirements, translate them into technical solutions, and ensure data needs are met

• Analyse large datasets, identify trends, and deliver meaningful insights to support strategic decision-making, querying data in GCP BigQuery when needed

• Implement Power BI governance, including version control, report lifecycle management, and audit trails, ensuring consistency and compliance across reporting environments

• Implement best practices in data modeling, DAX calculations, and performance optimisations in order to streamline report performance

• Troubleshoot and resolve data inconsistencies, ensuring data integrity and reliability in all reports and dashboards

• Assist in automating data refresh processes and optimising workflows to improve efficiency and reduce manual reporting efforts

• Stay up to date with the latest Power BI features, data visualisation trends, and industry best practices, applying them to enhance reporting capabilities.
  

This role is perfect for you if you have:

• 2-5 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or reporting roles

• Proficiency in Power BI, including experience with DAX and data visualisation techniques

• Strong knowledge of SQL for querying and manipulating data

• Experience with common data modelling techniques (STAR schema, Snowflake)

• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex datasets and provide actionable insights

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain data findings to non-technical stakeholders

• A proactive and collaborative approach to working in a cross-functional team environment

• Familiarity with data lakes, data warehouses and cloud platforms (preferably GCP)

• Fluent in English.

Key success factors:

• Experience working ETL processes and data transformation.

• Experience with scripting languages like Python for data analysis.

• Familiarity with data governance and compliance best practices.
