Chewy is seeking a Technical Program Manager to support the Supply Chain and Operations team by leading high-impact, cross-functional projects. This role needs someone with a strong blend of technical and analytical skills, along with the skills to build and implement initiatives that drive business value. We’re looking for a self-starter who can independently walk through processes and workflows, engage with collaborators, write SQL queries, build dashboards, set up alerts, create SOPs and documentation, and develop structured project plans to deliver results. You will partner with multiple business groups—including Operations, Supply Chain, and Vendor Compliance—to build high-quality, impactful data products that support data-driven decision-making.

You will be running multiple projects simultaneously—both legacy and new. You’ll be expected to assess current project states, identify gaps and opportunities, and extract immediate value. From there, you’ll continue refining and optimizing each project until it meets PMO standards and delivers substantial outcomes. Your work will span across departments, with a focus on building data pipelines, analyzing large datasets, resolving anomalies, developing user-friendly dashboards, and extracting actionable insights. You’ll also implement control mechanisms to ensure long-term project sustainability and adoption.

The ideal candidate combines deep technical proficiency with a curiosity and desire to collaborate. You should be just as comfortable writing SQL and building Tableau dashboards as you are engaging partners to refine workflows, processes, and reporting tools. Success in this role requires the ability to investigate data challenges, create self-service tools, and translate analytical findings into compelling, actionable stories. This role is heavily focused on operational metrics, scalable reporting, and continuous process improvement. Good communication and collaboration skills are critical to ensure your work drives clear, measurable business outcomes.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead end-to-end ownership of multiple cross-functional projects within Supply Chain, Operations, and Vendor Compliance!
  • Own and deliver multiple projects simultaneously, ranging from new dashboard builds to legacy process overhauls, ensuring each meets customer and business requirements.
  • Conduct end-to-end walkthroughs of operational processes to identify inefficiencies, then design and implement reporting solutions to close gaps.
  • Write advanced SQL queries to source and transform raw data into structured outputs for reporting, analysis, and automation.
  • Build and launch Tableau dashboards that support a single process, then develop a framework to scale those dashboards across vendors, categories, or warehouses.
  • Run recurring tool reviews with business partners to collect feedback, validate reporting logic, and prioritize enhancements in future cycles.
  • Translate project requests from the PMO into structured action plans with clear achievements, deliverables, and partner touchpoints.
  • Lead the creation and maintenance of project documentation, including SOPs, data dictionaries, UAT scripts, and user guides.

What You’ll Need:

  • 4+ years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, data science, or technical program management!
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL, with experience working across Snowflake, PostgreSQL, and MySQL, including data modeling, performance tuning, and building scalable ETL pipelines.
  • Expertise in BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent (experience with dashboard design and multi-source data blending).
  • Ability to create and maintain documentation (SOPs, training guides, UAT scripts) to support tool adoption and data literacy
  • Hands-on experience working with large, complex datasets from multiple sources.
  • Strong understanding of operational metrics, business performance indicators, and financial P&L concepts.
  • Demonstrated success in applying statistical concepts such as A/B testing, regression, correlation, and time series forecasting.
  • Experience reconciling and resolving data anomalies across multiple systems.
  • Strong collaboration, project planning, and communication skills with a track record of cross-functional partnership.
  • Experience using tools like Git, Jira, and Confluence, with a solid understanding of agile methodologies.
  • A passion for driving innovation with data and thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
  • Familiarity with Python or R for deeper statistical analysis and process automation is a plus.
