Senior Systems Engineer

We make extensive use of modern technology and are heavily invested in the cloud. Our in-house development team develops and supports several client facing web and mobile platforms built as greenfield projects with leading technology. 

 

The Senior Systems Operations Engineer will be a critical player supporting a growing application, network and server infrastructure. The role encompasses a wide range of technologies, including AWS, Windows, Linux and Juniper MIST networking.

 

What will you be doing

 

We are looking for an exceptional candidate to work with the global team to affect change and improve current processes and procedures:

  • Manage all components in our Microsoft O365 and Amazon Cloud Infrastructure (M365 & AWS)
  • Administration, Configuration and Troubleshooting of Juniper Network devices.
  • Work closely with DevOps team to ensure high availability.
  • Work closely with the security team to counter the ever-growing cyber-threat landscape.
  • Building new cloud and on-premise platforms and deploying improvements to existing ones.
  • Running and maintaining server & storage infrastructure on premises.
  • Running and maintaining network infrastructures.
  • Working with other internal teams to identify, manage and resolve issues and incidents.
  • Ensure architectural standards are maintained.
  • Participate on the Infrastructure/Operations On-Call Rotation Schedule.
  • Creating documentation and training material for the team.

 

Skills and Experience

 

  • Evidenced experience of managing projects and deliverables to key deadlines and completion.
  • Project stakeholder management, ensuring key project deliverables are met and delivered upon.
  • Experience with Juniper network equipment including MIST network deployments.
  • Management of Certificate Services PKI, and Route 53 Internal\External DNS management.
  • Write and maintain project requirements and manage stakeholder expectation.
  • Experience with Microsoft Intune for Desktop Management and deployments.
  • Requires a good working knowledge of GitHub or use of other source control management systems.
  • Excellent understanding of certificates and PKI Infrastructure as well as services such as NDES.
  • Experience with Windows server 2012-2022 Administration and Management.
  • Experience with any variety of Linux.
  • Excellent understanding of security systems and security best practices.
  • Experience managing people are part of a project or team.
  • Impeccable troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills at various levels of an organization.
  • Experience with deployment of VOIP based systems and MS Team VOIP technologies.
  • Management of Microsoft O365 tenants, including Exchange, Office etc.

 

Desirable

 

  • Experience with AWS Cloud Formation and AWS .
  • Experience of advanced cloud Networking Transit Gateway\Azure Express Route.
  • Good skills with Powershell & Python.
  • A good understanding of wired and wireless network design & deployment.
  • Experience with Juniper networking or CCNP level networking.
