Job Title: Senior Associate – Diligence for Multiple Openings

Job Description:

Utilize financial analysis principles to perform all phases of project and engagement management for multiple clients in a wide variety of industries. Responsibilities include planning, directing, and completing projects and services in financial due diligence. Work closely with partners and staff and play a key role in client management, practice development, and business development for an assigned group of clients. Perform buy-side and sell-side transaction advisory engagements, providing carve-outs and similar services to clients, private equity investors, and asset-based lenders. Help organizations realize the potential of mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures, as well as various transactions within capital markets. Perform financial due diligence on key areas of the income statement and balance sheet. Formulate questions and propose basic adjustments based on the identification of key financial risks and  business drivers. Lead analysis of key operational data, net working capital, debt, and debt-like items. Lead initial drafts of reports, including quality of earnings reports, for clients that highlight the key financial findings of potential investments as well as the drivers behind sustainable profits and cash flows. Create and design tailored transaction advisory reports specific to key issues such as normalized earnings, valuation model input assumptions, achievability of management’s budgets, indebtedness considerations, borrowing base calculations, and business combinations and carve-out financial statements. Collaborate with partners and senior managers on financial proposals and business development calls.

Supervise 1-2 Associates per engagement.

 

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:

Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Analytics, or Business Administration with a specialization in one of the aforementioned fields, or related field, plus 4 years of experience as an Audit Staff Associate, Accountant, or alternate related acceptable occupation. Work or academic experience must have included: (1) US GAAP, GAAS, and SEC Reporting; (2) Transaction advisory services or mergers and acquisitions; (3) Performing analytical procedures and substantive tests to analyze financial reports utilizing software such as SQL, Tableau, Python, Excel; (4) Utilizing auditing software, such as ProSystem, to assist with the auditor workpaper review process during diligence projects; (5) Utilizing the Thomson Reuters database to research accounting principles; (6) Analyzing key financial ratios and statistics for clients. Certified Public Accountant Certification required. 25% travel to various unanticipated client locations. Travel to various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S. May work remotely.

Compensation for position: $120,00 – $130,000/year
