Director, Metadata and Data Systems Program Lead

Pfizer is looking for a Director of Metadata and Data Systems Program Lead, leading the Program Management function for enabling analytics systems. The person in this role will reporting to VP, Program Management and Planning (PMP) Lead in the Pipeline and Analytics Excellence (P&AE) group. The person in this role will be responsible for design, development and accelerating the impact of analytics via critical tools and systems.
The success of the individual in this role depends on their knowledge of how commercial analytics drive business outcomes, knowledge of the marketing, sales and media spaces and possess expert level ability to influence executive leaders in oral and written form, and ability to work across technical functional domains as well as commercial teams to deliver capabilities to Commercial’s stakeholders.
Role Responsibilities:
Serve as the business owner / GCA lead for prioritized systems and tools, including Metadata Taxonomy, Master Data Management (MDM), and Reference Data Management (RDM).
Establish and maintain Metadata Management program, including data lineage, definitions and dependencies.
Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for prioritized analytics tools and systems that aligns with the organization's global objectives and therapeutic area goals.
Oversee the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of processes for prioritized analytics systems, related to data analytics, ensuring they are efficient, scalable, and aligned with industry best practices.
Devise and oversee a program to manage analytics systems, creating a consistent strategy across how we deliver analytics.
Partner with technology / digital teams to inform the selection, deployment, and management of advanced analytics tools and platforms, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of the GCA organization.
Be the point of contact to CETI and Digital on emerging GCA needs for any tools and technologies from analytics.
Collaborate with Regional and Global GCA teams to ensure consistent and effective use of analytics tools and systems across all markets and therapeutic areas.
Stay abreast of the latest trends and advancements in analytics technology and methodologies and integrate relevant innovations into the organization's analytics strategy.
Lead cross-functional teams and collaborate with stakeholders to drive data initiatives and promote best practices.
Work closely with senior leadership, therapeutic area heads, and other key stakeholders to understand their analytics needs and ensure the delivery of high-quality, actionable insights.
Qualifications:
BA/BS in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or similar; MS or MBA preferred.
8+ years leading data engineering, analytics, or Technical PM’s, ideally with strategic consulting experience.
Expertise in Pharmaceutical data domain, with understanding of data governance and standards
Proven ability to manage and develop cross-functional teams.
Leadership in a dynamic, results-driven environment.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Strong storytelling to explain complex technology to executives.
Ability to drive change across departments and business partners.
Skill in managing conflicting project ideas and making tough decisions.
Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.
