Role Overview:
We’re looking for a Data Integration Developer to join our Operational Integrity team to help trailblaze in this new domain, focusing on enhancing transactional accuracy, quality, and reliability across all our systems and products.
This role will be pivotal in automating data ingestion processes, supporting complex transactional and financial reconciliations, and generating comprehensive reports–-leveraging a variety of tools and coding languages to achieve our outcomes; (including but not limited to) cloud-based reconciliation tooling, integration methods, APIs, turn-key integration solutions, and file-based automation (e.g., SFTP).
The ideal candidate possesses a strong data background, particularly in transactional and payment data, understands data best practices, and thrives in an environment where innovation and continuous learning are encouraged.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement, configure, and manage integrations enabling cloud-based reconciliation tooling using various integration methods (APIs, turn-key solutions, file-based automation, etc.) for payment and transactional data ingestion.
- Support the reconciliation process by ensuring data ingestion automation delivers accurate, consistent, and complete datasets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate various third-party sources, verifying accuracy against authoritative data sets.
- Develop and automate comprehensive transactional reporting in and alongside cloud-based reconciliation tooling capabilities.
- Identify and resolve complex data discrepancies, assist in root cause analyses, and implement corrective measures.
- Maintain high standards for data quality, consistency, and compliance.
- Communicate clearly across technical and business teams, translating complex data challenges into actionable insights.
- Design and implement flexible and scalable solutions for emerging business needs.
- Propose and implement innovative solutions and automation to enhance team productivity and organizational efficiency.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data, Mathematics, Finance, Accounting, or a related technical/analytical discipline.
- Experience with various integration methods (APIs, turn-key solutions, file-based automation) for data ingestion, automation, and reporting.
- Intermediate SQL proficiency and experience working with relational databases.
- Experience creating clear documentation and diagrams from complex financial datasets.
- Strong analytical abilities to troubleshoot and resolve intricate data integrity issues.
- A proactive approach to continuous learning, exploring new methods and technologies.
- Self-starter attitude with the ability to independently drive new initiatives.
- Excellent verbal communication and writing skills.
- Experience with data warehousing, developing ETL and data integration processes,
- Experience working with Git and version control systems
Additional Assets:
- Background or experience in accounting practices or financial reconciliation.
- Experience with data reconciliation, particularly involving payments or transactional financial data.
- Prior work in fintech, payment service providers, or similar financial technology environments.
- Experience working with Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Familiarity with cloud environments like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Work experience in a technology startup or eCommerce environment.
- Experience with reporting tools like Power BI and Sigma
- Experience with data transformation tools and automations like Workato, Matillion, Snowflake automations (Snowpipe, Snowflake Tasks), DBT
- Experience with project management
