Infrastructure Automation and Data Engineer, Assistant Vice President

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Infrastructure Automation & Data Engineer to join our Platform Engineering Configuration Management squad. This role focuses on leveraging cutting-edge Infrastructure as Code (IaC) technologies to help develop and deliver a scalable and robust configuration drift and security scanning solution, helping to ensure the Bank is able to report and manage their security and compliance requirements.

What you will be responsible for:

As an Infrastructure Automation & Data Engineer you will:

• Onboard data to Splunk via forwarder, scripted inputs, TCP/UDP, and modular inputs from various network and application sources.
• Analyse data for anomalies and trends, building relevant dashboards/alerts that improve visibility.
• Ensure consistent and aligned approach on data structure within product.
• Work closely with application development team during release rollout to analyse agent performance impact and troubleshoot issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand infrastructure requirements and deliver solutions aligned with business needs.
• Stay up to date with the latest advancements in automation and IaC technologies, applying best practices to the team’s workflows.

What we value

These skills will help you succeed in this role

• Experience in any of the following: Splunk dashboards, or add-ons, Kibana dashboards or Grafana
• Proven experience in automation platforms such as Ansible Tower.
• In-depth knowledge in data structures and query languages
• Expertise in a variety of scripting languages such as Python, Yaml and Powershell.
• Working knowledge in security standards and baselines for Operating Systems and associated components.
• Experience with cloud platforms, specifically Azure and AWS.
• Experience working in agile teams, with a focus on collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, complex environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in large-scale IT environments with a focus on infrastructure automation.
• Familiarity with hybrid cloud environments.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and integration with IaC workflows.
• Knowledge of Python scripting.
