The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst with strong experience in Master Data, Microsoft Power BI and ERP systems to join our Data Engineering & Analytics team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in master data management, reporting, data modeling, enabling them to deliver actionable insights and support business decision-making.

Responsibilities

Master Data Management (MDM) & Governance

  • Develop and implement master data management (MDM) strategies to ensure data consistency, accuracy, and integrity.

  • Define and enforce data governance policies, including data ownership, stewardship, and quality standards.

  • Manage master data domains (e.g., customers, vendors, products, financial data) across the organization.

  • Work closely with business teams to define data definitions, taxonomies, and hierarchies.

  • Monitor data quality metrics, identify anomalies, and implement corrective actions.

  • Collaborate with IT and business teams to establish data integration and synchronization processes.

  • Support ERP master data migration, consolidation, and cleansing efforts.

  • Ensure consistency and integrity of master data across ERP and other business systems.

ERP Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Work with ERP systems, preferably Sage X3, to extract, analyze, and report on key business data.

  • Ensure accurate and seamless data integration between the ERP system and other enterprise applications.

  • Identify opportunities for data automation and process improvement related to ERP reporting.

SQL & Database Management

  • Write, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.

  • Develop and maintain stored procedures, functions, views, and triggers to support analytics and reporting needs.

  • Perform data cleansing, validation, and normalization to ensure accuracy and consistency across databases.

  • Work with relational databases such as SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle to support data analysis requirements.

  • Implement indexing, partitioning, and performance tuning techniques to enhance query efficiency.

  • Ensure data security, integrity, and compliance when handling sensitive business data.

Power BI Reporting & Data Visualization

  • Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports using Microsoft Power BI to provide business insights.

  • Work with DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) to create calculated columns, measures, and aggregations.

  • Build and manage Power BI data models, including defining relationships, hierarchies, and calculated tables.

  • Implement row-level security (RLS) to restrict access to sensitive data within Power BI reports.

  • Optimize Power Query (M Language) transformations to efficiently process and shape data from multiple sources.

  • Publish, maintain, and schedule Power BI reports and datasets using Power BI Service.

  • Integrate Power BI with other data sources, APIs, and cloud-based solutions (e.g., AWS, Snowflake).

  • Conduct user training and support for Power BI report consumers.

Experience

  • Bachelor’s/College degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.

  • 4+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, and reporting.

  • Strong SQL proficiency, with experience in writing and optimizing complex queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning.

  • Advanced Power BI skills, including DAX, Power Query (M), data modeling, and Power BI Service administration.

  • Experience with ERP systems (preferably Sage X3) for data extraction, integration, and reporting.

  • Knowledge of data modeling techniques (e.g., star schema, snowflake schema, dimensional modeling).

  • Understanding of master data management (MDM) principles and data governance.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Knowledge of cloud-based data platforms (AWS, Snowflake) is a plus.
