We are seeking a Senior Data Analyst to join our Operations team, and be a trusted partner to the Class Leadership team, ensuring business priorities are reflected clearly in reporting and metrics.
This role will assist with building out new data capabilities, databases and models using our Data Warehouse tools (Databricks, dbt, PowerBI), and work with stakeholders to understand technical requirements for the data that they will be transforming so that it has tangible business value.

We are seeking a Senior Data Analyst to join our Operations team, and be a trusted partner to the Class Leadership team, ensuring business priorities are reflected clearly in reporting and metrics.
This role will assist with building out new data capabilities, databases and models using our Data Warehouse tools (Databricks, dbt, PowerBI), and work with stakeholders to understand technical requirements for the data that they will be transforming so that it has tangible business value.
Role responsibilities:
- Work with technical leads within the team and other stakeholders to deliver key project streams to do with the Data Warehouse
- Become an expert in our technical tools and best practices, embedding continuous improvement initiatives across the Data Enablement team workflow
- Generate and communicate key business metrics with the management team, enabling them to make informed business decisions
- Work collaboratively with technical leads to document new internal and external data sources, models and reports as well as technical requirements from the business
- Build and support reporting tools (PowerBI, Excel from time to time, PowerPivot as well as modern reporting apps) which can be maintained at scale
- Work with the team to experiment with advanced analytics (ML/AI) techniques and models that will address business problems
- Contribute to SMSF industry Insights and Analysis for the annual Class Benchmark dataset, working with the Marketing and Compliance team
Role Requirements:
- Tertiary qualifications within Computer Science, Applied Statistics, Mathematics, Finance or a relevant discipline – with at least 5 years experience in a technical data or analyst role
- Strong knowledge of SQL, Python/Pyspark
- Experience with cloud data warehousing, ETL/ELT pipelines
- Knowledge around Data Quality Management and Data Governance (desirable)
- Good written and verbal communication skills, strong stakeholder management
- Experience in the financial services industry (desirable)
- Knowledge of our data stack – Databricks, dbt and Fivetran (desirable)
