About the Role

As Data Governance Analyst in our Engineering, Tooling & Data Services team, you will support data-related services for technology including data analytics, data management, support audit procedures, reporting and compliance and risk management.

Work Hours: Part time, 2 days per week

What will your day look like?

As a Data Governance Analyst, your key accountabilities will include: 

• Improve the collective knowledge of leadership team for better decision-making.
• Help to develop clear guidelines with practical implementation to streamline processes with minimal complexity and maximum efficiency to applicable policies and standards.
• Assist the data manager in working group across different domains uplifting data governance capabilities.
• Ensure there are simple, well documented, and practical standards and processes to manage data governance consistent to applicable standards.
• Collaborate with business groups, data, and risk teams to remediate both data and controls.
• Support activities to ensure data-related services are complaint with ANZ Enterprise Governance Framework and I.AM Framework
• Help to develop clear guidelines with practical implementation to streamline processes with minimal complexity and maximum efficiency to applicable policies and standards.
• Assist the data manager in working group across different domains uplifting data governance capabilities.
• Monitor the health of Critical Business Terms and Critical Data Elements.
• Track and manage the resolution of Data Quality Issues.

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

• Demonstrated knowledge of data governance, data quality and data management practices including data-related regulatory requirements.
• Good understanding of data architecture and conceptual data lineage and data visualisation.
• Advanced skills and experience developing enterprise-class reporting and analysis solutions.
• Good discovery, design, and reliable execution skills, to provide the support our customers most need.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to work in a challenging space that requires genuine collaborative and positive working relationships.
• Scrum Master using collaboration tools such as JIRA, Confluence and SharePoint.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science / information systems, Risk Management or a related field or equivalent experience.
