Expert Frontend Engineer – Generative AI

Generative AI is one of the hottest and most promising technologies with the potential to provide a step-change enhancement in engineering efficiency.

For example, imagine a generative AI model that can “read” requirements and generate corresponding test cases. By itself it cannot connect with the text it needs to “read”, and by itself, it cannot connect with the document where it would “write” the corresponding test cases. And it doesn't have an interface to “interact” with a human.

In this role, you will cooperate with Aptiv’s AI ML group and help to build all these elements needed to make the AI model usable.

About Aptiv AI projects:

We are a team of experts leveraging AI to provide tools for Aptiv engineers. With teams working across the globe, we create and deliver solutions that utilize Gen AI technologies. We are looking for a talented Frontend engineer to work on our suite of AI-powered tools.

Responsibilities and duties:

• Design and develop scalable front-end components for Aptiv AI Products

• Build front-end components based on designs.

• Collaborate with Back-end developers, Data Scientists, Machine Learning Scientists, UX designers, and other team members

• Review code and provide constructive feedback to ensure best practices

Qualifications:

• Strong experience with front-end technologies (TypeScript with React)

• Experience with software design, and architecture

• Experience with RESTful API integration

• Have a hands-on mentality, and independence, and take ownership of the product

• Experience with Git, build tools, and CI/CD workflow

Bonus points for:

• Experience with building products from scratch, and launching them into production

• Experience with the agile software development process

• Having a product mindset

• Experience with Docker

• Experience in writing e2e tests

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

• Experience with Tailwind, react-query, Shadcn-ui
