Role Overview

We are looking for an Apprentice Analytics Engineer to join our Data Analytics team in Paris. In this role, you’ll help build and maintain the foundation of our data infrastructure, gaining hands-on experience with SQL, Python, and modern data engineering tools in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

Some recent projects we’ve worked on:

• Scalable Data Models: Developing and optimizing dbt models to support key business metrics and ensure data consistency. 
• Data Quality Monitoring: Implementing systems to detect anomalies and maintain high data reliability for our customers. 
• Self-Service Analytics: Making data easily accessible with well-documented models for business and product teams.

What You’ll Do

As an Apprentice Analytics Engineer, you will work closely with data analysts, engineers, and the product team to ensure high-quality, reliable data. You will:

• Develop and maintain data models: Assist in designing and optimizing dbt models for accurate and consistent reporting.
• Write and optimize SQL queries: Transform, clean, and structure data to support business insights.
• Ensure data quality: Identify and troubleshoot inconsistencies to keep our datasets clean and reliable
• Maintain data pipelines: Help build and improve Python-based data pipelines.
• Document and share knowledge: Maintain clear documentation for data models, pipelines, and best practices.

What We’re Looking For

• Enthusiasm for data and analytics, with a strong desire to grow (no prior experience required).
• Basic knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Familiarity with Python.
• Understanding of version control (Git).

What You’ll Learn

• Handling real-world large datasets with Python & SQL
• Working with Google BigQuery.
• Using dbt for data transformation.
• Understanding of search engines and their impact on website traffic and revenue.
• Collaborating with a supportive team of analysts, engineers, and scientists in an R&D environment.
