Principal AI Engineer
Location: Pune, Maharashtra, India  

Role Summary:  

The Principal AI Engineer will develop and deploy core AI components for organization-wide use. This role requires expertise in AI technologies and their practical applications, focusing on building reusable AI capabilities. The Principal AI Engineer will collaborate with engineering and product teams to integrate these components into various business processes and products.  

Key Responsibilities:  

• Design, develop, and deploy AI components for cross-business use. 

• Build and maintain AI solutions such as chatbots, RAG components, vector stores, and data engineering pipelines. 

• Fine-tune large language models (LLMs) to meet specific business needs. 

• Implement semantic routing and AI functions to enhance organizational AI capabilities. 

• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to integrate AI components into business processes and products. 

• Ensure AI solutions are scalable, robust, and aligned with business objectives. 

• Monitor and optimize the performance of AI components, making data-driven improvements. 

• Document AI solutions and create usage guidelines for the organization. 

• Build and lead a dynamic team to drive seamless product implementations for enterprise applications. 

• Ensure exceptional user experience by focusing on intuitive UI design and user-friendly interfaces. 

• Experience in handling large-scale data processing, ETL pipelines, and real-time data streaming for AI applications. 

• Strong understanding of data management, feature engineering, and model optimization for scalable AI solutions. 

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers. 

Required Skills and Qualifications:  

• Extensive experience in AI development and deployment, and large-scale product application implementations, focusing on reusable components.  

• Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Node.JS, Typescript, React.  

• Hands-on experience with AI frameworks and tools (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).  

• Proven experience in complex AI implementations such as fine-tuning large language models (LLMs), RAG systems, and semantic routing.  

• Familiarity with data engineering and vector store technologies. 

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.  

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.  

Preferred Qualifications:  

• Experience in a corporate or enterprise environment.  

• Certification in AI or related technologies.  

• Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot Studio, Power Apps, and Power BI.  

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.  

Education 

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
