Data Engineer I - MarketingLeadVenture is looking for an experienced data engineer, specializing in the ingestion, curation, management, and distribution of marketing data sets. A successful candidate will have a passion for understanding and reshaping data to meet the task at hand and sufficient domain expertise in the marketing space to understand how these data sets relate. You'll work as part of an agile engineering team to adopt existing data flows, research new data sets, and manage the full data lifecycle to support internal tools, external and internal reporting, and data science use cases. Additional opportunities exist to contribute to internal tooling. Here is more of what you’ll get to do: 

• Understand and refactor existing data flows, with an eye to data integrity and performance. 
• Analyze new data sets. 
• Develop ingestion pipelines. 
• Participate in governance and data quality decisions. 
• Configure monitoring and alerting. 
• Explore new technologies and in the data engineering and data science realms. 

You’ll thrive in this role if you have:

• 2-3 years ingesting, manipulating, and exposing medium-sized data sets (tens to hundreds of GB) using Python 
• 2-3 years experience with AWS-based infrastructure, particularly S3 and Glue 
• General understanding of web and marketing concepts and analytics 
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills 
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, particularly within the context of an agile team 
• Python/pandas for data analysis, transformation, scripting, and automation. 
• AWS S3, Glue, Athena, RDS, IAM, API Gateway 
• Terraform 
• Google Analytics  
• SEO and keyword analysis tools, like Google Search Console 
• Intermediate Javascript for SPA development using frameworks like React w/Redux and Node. 
• Familiarity with modern CSS using pre-processors like LESS or SASS 
• Some experience with tag managers, like GTM or Tealium iQ 
• Exposure to ad platforms like Google Ads, Facebook Ads, Bing Ads
