Process Developer - Forecast Accuracy Specialist-ANA016686

Inviting applications for the role of PD (Process Developer), Forecast Accuracy Specialist for the role in Forecast & Planning. 

The junior level Forecast Accuracy and Planning Analyst will assist in measuring and improving forecast accuracy across all demand, supply, and return streams. The role involves supporting the publication and automation of forecast accuracy reports, showcasing improvements in inventory, fulfilment, and logistics benefits, and working on systemic and offline forecast methods. The analyst will also help with outlier detection and correction and support the execution of Sales & Operations processes. 

 

Responsibilities 

 

  • Forecast Accuracy Support: 

  • Assist in measuring and improving forecast accuracy. 

  • Help publish and automate forecast accuracy reports. 

  • Support the exclusion of non-active and top critical parts from accuracy targets. 

  • Inventory and Fulfilment Support: 

  • Assist in measuring and showcasing improvements in inventory, fulfilment, and logistics benefits. 

  • Help track and reduce Out of Pole Shipments (OOPS) and backorders. 

  • Support efforts to save net cash flow for the business. 

  • Systemic Forecast Accuracy: 

  • Assist in publishing and showcasing systemic forecast accuracy improvements. 

  • Help identify and work on improvement areas in the planning system. 

  • Support the suggestion and validation of systemic improvements. 

  • Offline Forecast Methods: 

  • Assist in complementing systemic forecasts with offline forecast methods using R. 

  • Help monitor and validate forecasting overrides. 

  • Outlier Detection and Correction: 

  • Support the improvement of systemic outlier detection and correction. 

  • Assist in complementing global outlier correction methods. 

  • Help analyses demand increases and manage outliers at pair, part, or region level. 

  • Planning and Reporting: 

  • Participate in the Planning CoE and align with business priorities. 

  • Help present progress on deliverables in weekly operations meetings. 

  • Assist in minimizing discrepancies in proactive item health checks. 

  • Support the automation of planning reporting, trending, and tracking to focus more on actions. 

  • Data Quality and Testing: 

  • Assist in improving planning data quality in reports, repair, forecast, and Distribution Resource Planning. 

  • Participate in testing and validation activities for planning and Service Part Management initiatives. 

Qualifications we seek in you! 

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Statistics, Data Science or related field. 

  • Some experience or internships in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain management. 

  • Basic knowledge of statistical forecasting methods and tools R, Python. 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 

  • Good communication and presentation skills. 

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment. 

Preferred Qualifications/ Skills 

  • Familiarity with AI and machine learning models for forecasting. 

  • Basic knowledge of Service Part Management systems and configuration. 

  • Understanding of Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes. 

  • Attention to detail and accuracy. 

  • Strong organizational and time management skills. 

  • Ability to support systemic improvements and validate changes. 

  • Proactive approach to identifying and resolving discrepancies.
