Job Nature: Full Time

Office Hours: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (Flexible)

Weekend: Saturday, Sunday

Compensation & Benefits:

• Salary: Negotiable (Based on Skills & Experience)

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Data Engineer to architect and elevate our data infrastructure, transitioning from on-premise systems to a cutting-edge, cloud-based streaming architecture. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in driving technical excellence, designing scalable data pipelines, and implementing robust governance frameworks. This position requires expertise in modern data tools, strong collaboration skills to work cross-functionally, and the ability to deliver actionable insights through advanced analytics. Job Responsibilities:

• Architect Cloud-Based Solutions: Transition from on-prem batch systems to a scalable, cloud-based (AWS)streaming architecture, including data warehouses, ETL pipelines, and governance frameworks.

• Lead Technical Excellence: Foster a culture of innovation and technical excellence in data engineering and analytics, driving architectural plans and future-ready data solutions.

• Develop and Automate Systems: Design, implement, and automate distributed data systems, including schema development, data pipelines, and SQL/NoSQL database operations.

• Drive Collaboration and Insights: Partner with Product, Engineering, and Business teams to align data initiatives, and deliver actionable metrics, reports, and ANALYTICS dashboards (Metabase, Tableau, Power BI) to support decision-making.

• Ensure Operational Reliability: Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines, maintain high data quality, and resolve operational issues while establishing robust governance practices.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Proficiency in SQL and experience with scripting languages like Python, Shell Java, or Scala.

Experience with big data tools like Hadoop, Spark, and data pipeline and workflow management tools like Airflow.

Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, including Postgres, MySQL, MongoDB.

Ability to analyze and organize raw data, and proficiency in ETL processes.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Experience:

1-4 years of experience in the relevant field.
