Senior Software Engineer

We are part of the Edge & Platform organization delivering at-scale customer experience for all of Edge solutions – Azure Stack HCI, Azure Edge Hardware Centre, HCI Catalog.

• Azure IoT – Internet of Things Platform | Microsoft Azure is industry-specific cloud solutions platform with intelligent edge-to-cloud technologies that come with security, privacy and compliance built-in. IoT helps to drive transformation and achieve desired business outcomes by building intelligent environments that allow you to connect, monitor, automate and model devices and applications. 

Responsibilities

• A strong Computer Science background with solid C#, Java, C/C++ programming, debugging skills 
• Developing Cloud Services or Restful services, or Distributed systems 
• Able to analyze and clearly articulate complex issues and technologies  
• Collaborate across Azure to develop platforms that help simplify the management and monitoring of Edge devices at scale 
• Write exemplary code working with large scale distributed systems with quality, simplicity, and maintainability as core tenets 
• Drive for quality across the team, mentor and guide others for keeping the bar high 

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Software Development
• 3+ years of experience designing, developing, deploying, and monitoring cloud services/RESTful service/Distributed system
• Knowledge of Kubernetes and related technologies is strongly preferred
• Experience with LLMs are preferred
• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure, AWS or similar cloud computing platforms is preferred
• A strong Computer Science background with solid C#, Java, C/C++ programming, debugging skills is highly desired
• Great design and problem-solving skills, with a strong bias for architecting for performance, scalability, security, and reliability
• Deep understanding of efficient data structures and algorithms
• Bachelor’s/master's degree or equivalent in Computer science or related field required
• An entrepreneurial spirit with a can-do attitude – a self-starter, project finisher and adaptive, collaborative
• Able to analyze and clearly articulate complex issues and technologies
