Embedded AI Engineer (f/m/d)

In this role, you will ensure ML models run efficiently by developing, optimizing, and adapting AI models for edge devices. Your primary duties will focus on:

• Working with specific hardware like FPGAs, GPUs, or TPUs to maximize the performance of AI models and deploy them efficiently.

• Developing robust system architectures that enable seamless integration of AI models into edge devices, including managing data flows and optimizing hardware resources.

• Ensuring real-time data processing and inference.

• Working on optimizing inference speed and efficiency of AI models on low-latency devices.

• Integrating security mechanisms and privacy strategies.

Requirements

You may be a good fit if you have:

• Have an in-depth understanding and already used techniques of quantization, pruning, mixed precision and TensorRT optimizations to make models memory-efficient and fast.

• A proven track record of enabling models to run efficiently on embedded platforms such as NVIDIA Jetson, ARM-based systems (SIMD/NEON), or other microcontrollers, ensuring effective GPU inference and hardware acceleration (e.g. AMD ROCm).

• Hands-on experience with ONNX Runtime for edge device deployments and NPU/TPU accelerators, such as Google Coral Edge TPU.

• Proficient knowledge in embedded and systems programming, including C++ for low-latency inference pipelines and solid knowledge of Embedded Linux systems and driver debugging (Yocto, Ubuntu for ARM).

• Familiarity with Rust or C for safety-critical systems.
