Sr Financial Analyst (Business Analytics)

Position Summary:

We are looking for a collaborative and detail-oriented Sr Financial Analyst (Business Analytics Specialist) to join our Central Analytics team. This role will focus on gathering requirements, identifying data sources, and building comprehensive dashboards that deliver critical financial and operational insights for two key audiences: Senior Executives and Account Executives.

As the Business Analytics Specialist, you will work cross-functionally with managers of operational processes, data owners, and application teams to connect existing data sources with HERE’s analytics stack including AWS, Oracle Data Warehouse (DW), and Denodo. You will partner closely with primary stakeholders to design and iteratively develop dashboards, using Tableau or a similar tool, to drive insights and support decision-making for key account management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Stakeholder Collaboration: Elicit and clarify requirements directly from stakeholders of the Account Management and other dashboards, including Senior Executives, Finance, and Account Executives.
• Data Integration: Collaborate with managers of operational processes, data owners, and application owners to identify and assess existing data sources. Work with HERE’s central analytics team on requests to connect relevant data sources and data to the data analytics stack as needed.
• Dashboard Development: Design and build interconnected dashboards that provide actionable insights, initially with the Senior Executive View containing two dashboards focused on financial performance of top accounts and long-term planning, and the Account Executive View containing five dashboards offering comprehensive account health metrics.
• Insight Generation: Support financial and operational analysis, with capabilities for drill-down into metrics such as revenue, P&L, KPI tracking, and contract-level financials to facilitate detailed decision-making.
• Security and Permissions: Implement and ensure proper security protocols for dashboard access, data visibility, and user permissions at rollout, protecting sensitive information and maintaining data integrity.
• Iterative Improvement: Conduct regular reviews with stakeholders to refine dashboard design and functionalities, ensuring alignment with changing business needs and data accuracy.

Who are you?

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field
• At least 5 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or analytics with 3+ years demonstrated experience in dashboard design and implementation
• Proficiency with a data visualization tool (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
• Strong analytical skills with demonstrated experience in translating business requirements into technical solutions
• Knowledge of commonly accepted data security practices and experience in applying security permissions to analytics tools and data sources
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at multiple levels
• Experience with data integration and warehouse technologies and processes are a plus, including:
• AWS Glue, Spark, Athena, distributed Data Lake, Denodo, Informatica, MuleSoft, REST API integrations, Java script, NodeJS, Python
• Complex SQL queries and performance tuning, ETL across various databases and data platforms, automation and scripting to streamline data processing.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams across analytics, data management, and business operations.
• Problem Solving: Ability to make decisions in uncertain or evolving situations. Demonstrates flexibility in adjusting to new requirements, thrive in ambiguous environment and shifting priorities.
• Data Security and Compliance: Knowledgeable in implementing data security and user permissions in accordance with company policies and compliance standards.
• Project Management: Organized and able to manage multiple priorities, ensuring timelines and deliverables are met.
