Internship - ADAS: Data Analytics for Safety Functions (m/f/d)

YOUR TEAM

To support our CARIAD ADAS & AD team, we are currently looking for an intern. In your role, you will gain first-hand experience in data-driven development for Active Safety Functions and will be an integral part of the team that works on data analytics to enhance vehicle safety. At CARIAD ADAS & AD, we are developing a unified technology platform for Level 4 automated driving and parking, while also providing NCAP safety functions for the entire Volkswagen fleet, making mobility safer and more comfortable.

In an agile, interdisciplinary team, you will contribute to secure and scalable systems that shape the future of Volkswagen. During your internship, you will support us in data analysis for the development of active safety functions like emergency brake assist, using real-time vehicle data to improve safety performance.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Data preprocessing of data from a function activation dataset including time-series and image data
• State of the art data analytics including the usage of neural networks (usage of GenAI optional)
• Contribution to our analytics process in Databricks cloud environment 
• Appropriate visualization of results
• Documentation of achieved progress

WHO YOU ARE

• Enrolled student in computer science, automotive engineering or a comparable course of study (please specify the expected date of your graduation or end of enrollment)
• Very good academic performance
• Very good programming skills (especially Python)
• Experience in using machine learning methods
• You are communicative and can drive your topics forward independently
