Advanced Data Manager - Collegiate Hospitality

Job Description

The Advanced Data Manager supports the Meal Plan sales structure and responsible for supporting the meal plan financial reporting process and meal plan structure development.  The Advanced Data Manager employs a consistent, fact-driven approach leveraging predictive modeling and analytics to drive growth of meal plan revenue and profitability. 

Job Responsibilities

 

•Financial Analysis: Provide support to the Meal Plan Team for new sales, retention, master planning and key account needs for meal plan program development and optimization. This includes benchmarking, financial analytics and predictive models that support specific meal program recommendations.  •Training: Identify, develop, and support the delivery of training content to improve the processes and compliance for meal plan maximization. •Insights: Support the development of analysis and materials for use in key client discussions and presentations to support the recommendations. This includes identifying dining and meal plan related trends and surfacing fact-based key performance indicators applicable to a variety of meal plan scenarios. •Project Management: Serve as key project manager with IT and Finance for Aramark’s proprietary Meal Plan Analytics database and Account Growth Plans to design the optimal measurement and analytics platform plus manage sales campaign reporting and analysis. Function as a system administrator to provide user access, user roles and system configuration.  •Development: Assist in the development of analytical models to provide increased visibility into the performance of our meal plan programs. •Performance Tracking: Measure the performance/outcomes of meal plan revenue growth initiatives utilizing multiple sources of data including: POS, financial systems, consumer data, and Partnership Value Index. Conduct pre- and post-analysis extracting data, running reports, analyzing information, formulating conclusions, identifying opportunities and preparing reports for multiple levels in the organization.

Qualifications

Professional experience:  A minimum 5+ years of financial analysis or business analytics with increasing levels of responsibility and a working knowledge of operations.

Personal attributes:

•Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as the ability to influence without formal authority, and the ability to learn and adapt quickly to new situations.
•Ability to deal with ambiguity and effectively cope with change.
•Maintain efficiency and high productivity levels while managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
 

Leadership and Competencies:

•Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, problem solving and adjusting priorities to meet deadlines and requests. 
•Aptitude for leveraging consumer insights, industry practice, and financial requirements to provide creative and strategic solutions.
 

Software Knowledge/Tools:

•Proficiency with PC software applications is mandatory with advanced skills in Excel, VBA, SQL and Power BI. Knowledge of IPEDS is a plus.
 

Education:
•A bachelor's degree is required. Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Accounting or Finance preferred.
