DB Global Technology is Deutsche Bank’s technology centre in Central and Eastern Europe. Opened in January 2014, the Bucharest office is constantly expanding.
DB Global Technology develops cutting-edge software applications and data solutions for the Deutsche Bank’s global operations and represents a platform for highly skilled software engineers. The team members specialize in Architecture, Data Management, Functional/Business Analysis.
The Private Bank Divisional Data Office is driving forward Data Management for Private Bank Division. In close collaboration between business and IT we assure compliance with Deutsche Bank Group Data Policy by assigning data roles, managing the documentation of data flows, casting data requirements into enterprise data models, optimize data quality across the division, and coordinating Private Banks data delivery through the group data hub.
We are looking for a senior expert who has the drive and the ability to understand the business processes and technical side within the bank, who understands the requirements defined by regulatory compliance and top management and drive complex challenges into structured solutions.
The Data Quality Manager develops a clear understanding of the Data Quality Strategy and lends hands on support across the regions in measuring, reporting, and improving Data Quality in Private Bank. He / she drives Data Quality methods and standards consistent with Group Policies and ensures appropriate application along the operational processes.
Responsibilities:
- Develop the Private Bank Data Quality strategy aligned with Private Bank business processes as well as group policies and frameworks: defining, e.g., critical data, controls, quality targets, alert thresholds and escalation procedures.
- Develop solutions for Data Quality Management standards and processes within Private Bank in line with Group Core Data Standards, e.g., Data Quality Control documentation, reporting and continuous improvement processes.
- Manage Data Quality Issues root-cause analysis and remediation process for Private Bank together with the business areas, ensure Data Quality Issues are being tracked and remediated within the committed deadlines
- Assess Data Quality controls, remediation of DQ control gaps and monitor the implementation of new DQ controls in line with data consumer requirements (RWA calculations, Liquidity Management, Anti-Financial Crime functions)
- Own the KPI reporting process through Data Quality Dashboard, the reporting process and embed new DQ control
- Support Private Bank data owners in optimizing the Data Quality Management processes within Private Bank
- Support regulatory compliance regarding Data Management in Private Bank (e.g., GDPR, BCBS 239)
Skills :
- Minimum of 7 + years of experience in data quality control, data management and/or business process analysis
- In depth understanding of how data and Data Quality impacts end-to-end processes across the bank in the financial services sector
- Hands on experience with implementing Data Quality Controls, setting up Data Quality Control Landscapes and creating Data Quality reports, e.g., internal control systems or SOX processes
- Ideally background in Reference Data Management and experience with interpreting and implementing data related regulations (e.g. GDPR, BCBS 239)
- Ability to influence and build consensus, experience in senior stakeholder management and excellent communication skills
- Must have the ability to work under pressure with strict time constraints in a complex environment
- Open minded team player: making different people work together well across the world
- Fluent in English (written/verbal)
Technical Competencies (Senior level):
- Excellent knowledge in MS Office products (Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience using Data Quality tools
- Good understanding of reporting solutions
- Ability to understand systems architecture
