Retail Applications  at  Salvos Stores  are looking for a Data Analyst to be Analyst is responsible for ensuring the integrity, security, and accessibility of data within Salvos Stores.

About the Role

  • Administer and maintain Cybertill databases containing POS, RMS, CRM, and finance data, ensuring optimal performance, security, and availability.

  • Provide support to key Salvos Stores business functions such as Retail, Finance and Customer & Strategy teams to improve POS layouts, maintain data integrity, support the set-up of campaigns, offer management and discounts.

  • Conduct regular data quality assessments and audits, identifying and resolving issues with POS, CRM, RMS and finance data.

  • Support data users by providing training and assistance with accessing and using POS, RMS, CRM, and finance data.

  • Develop and maintain documentation for data processes ensuring the relevant policies, and standards are applied.

  • Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and organisational policies, focusing on retail-specific regulations.

About You

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.

  • 1-2 years of experience in data administration, data management, or a related support role, preferably in retail.

  • Familiarity with database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle or MySQL)

  • An understanding of data governance principles and practices in a retail context.

  • Familiarity with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and their implications for retail data.

  • Experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or QlikView.

  • Experience with basic SQL queries and data processes, particularly for retail data.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including retail operations, marketing, and finance.

  • Experience with data integration and ETL tools is a plus.
