Day Shift - 7.5 Hours (United States of America)

The Data Analyst will be responsible for collecting, organizing, and analyzing data to provide accurate and complete reports. The candidate will work with other analysts to perform a variety of ad-hoc analysis and reports as requested. The role involves improving reporting efficiency, producing standard periodic reports, and responding to data requests by determining users' needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, develop, and implement methods for improving reporting efficiency.
  • Produce standard periodic reports to meet users' needs.
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis and reports as requested.
  • Collect, compile, and analyze data to measure and report on provider and program performance.
  • Maintain and apply knowledge of current trends, practices, and developments in healthcare.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs and help develop tools for collecting, organizing, and analyzing information.
  • Create reports for internal teams, external clients, and stakeholders.
  • Visualize data with graphs, infographics, and other methods.
  • Establish KPIs to measure the effectiveness of business decisions.
  • Structure large data sets to find usable information.
  • Process information with a team of analysts and other associates.
  • Craft presentations and reports based on recommendations and findings.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Data Science, Data Engineering, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or other related fields OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a healthcare environment.
  • Experience in a hospital or managed care environment with a focus on claims data analysis, provider contracting, or decision support, especially in cost and utilization analysis.
  • A working knowledge of industry coding (revenue codes, ICD 9 classifications, CPT codes, etc.).
  • Proficiency in statistical methods, machine learning, and data mining techniques.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Knowledge of SQL and other database management systems.
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as Python or R.

Additional Information:

  • The candidate is expected to maintain and apply knowledge of current trends, practices, and developments in healthcare.
  • Other duties as assigned within the scope of responsibilities and requirements of the job.

Salary: $80,000 - $110,000, position is on-site only
