Overview

Titan Cement Group is seeking a smart, highly motivated Energy Analyst with a technical background and strong quantitative skills to join our team. This position will be based in Athens and will be part of the Electrical Power (EP) team of the Group and report to the Head of Power Trading.

Responsibilities

More specifically, the primary responsibilities are:

  • Technical and statistical data analysis concerning the relevant markets in the South Eeast Europe.
  • Gather, compile and analyze information and statistical data models related to all relevant energy markets in order to identify trends and market conditions keeping the Group Procurement Department informed on price trends and prepares corresponding monthly reports.
  • Carry out wholesale market analysis and reports concerning energy markets trends (futures, natural gas, EU Emissions Allowances and correlations).
  • Follow up the relevant Legislation and Regulatory developments concerning the energy markets.
  • Follow up investments in power generation in the relevant geographical areas and tries to evaluate their impact.
  • Support the team to develop and present energy management strategies.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have the following minimum qualifications:

  • Degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Statistics or Business, or in a related field of study
  • 2-3 years of professional experience in the energy sector
  • Strong interest and passion in energy, economic and policy analysis
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and make decisions in a pressured environment.
  • Familiar with the main Greek Power market stakeholders (ENEX, DAPEEP, ADMIE etc.)
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel is required
  • Experience in computer programming (e.g. Python) is desired
  • Proficiency in English is a must
