Program Manager Information Technology EHRPosition Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager of Data Engineering to lead our data engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data architecture, data warehousing, and data pipeline development. This role requires excellent leadership skills, technical expertise, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality data solutions. Additionally, the candidate should possess a solid understanding of software development principles and the software development lifecycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance. This knowledge will be crucial in ensuring that data engineering projects are seamlessly integrated with broader Data Shared Service platform strategies. This role will report to the Data Shared Services Director of Data Engineering.
Essential Job Duties:
- Work closely with the Director or Data Engineering to create road map of data products.
- Lead and manage the data engineering team, providing mentorship and guidance to team members.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes.
- Oversee the architecture and implementation of data warehousing solutions.
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all data engineering projects.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data engineering and implement new technologies as needed.
- Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets to ensure successful project delivery.
- Develop and enforce data engineering standards, policies, and procedures.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and other relevant programming languages.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure,AWS or Google Cloud.
- Experience or knowledge of Databricks, Fivetran, Alation and Snowflake.
- In-depth knowledge of data warehousing concepts, ETL processes, and data modeling.
- Experience or knowledge of Machine learning and generative AI
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
- Knowledge of machine learning and data science concepts.
Required Criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/related field or related work experience of at least 5-7 years.
- 5 or more years of solid experience in a Technical Manager/ Technical Project Management.
