Your New Role…

CNN is seeking a Senior Manager of Streaming Analytics who will be instrumental in the launch and success of our upcoming digital streaming initiatives. This individual should be self-motivated, work well independently and as part of a team, and be passionate about what they do. They will be responsible for overseeing the growth and health of subscribers to these new services. The Senior Manager will be a core member of the data analytics team and report to the Director of Growth Analytics.

Your Role Accountabilities...

The Senior Manager of Streaming Analytics will

• Support the growth of streaming products and produce best-in-class insights with tangible opportunities for the business to act on.
• Manage a small team of growth product analysts to partner with cross-functional leaders in the streaming space.
• Proactively develop the streaming analytics roadmap with stakeholders to best balance short- and long-term opportunities around metrics such as net subscribers, churn, and conversion rates.
• Partner with other analytics teams to provide a holistic view of CNN for leadership.

Qualifications & Experience...

• 5+ years in growth or product analytics working as a lead or senior contributor.
• Strong working knowledge of digital and product analytics: funnels, cohorts, AB testing, OKR development and tracking.
• Demonstrated experience partnering directly with cross-functional leaders, particularly in product and growth contexts.
• Strong interpersonal written and verbal communication skills with the ability to deliver complex messages to diverse audiences.
• Strong track record of proactively identifying and formalizing high impact AB tests with partners.
• Expertise in using SQL to explore and analyze large data sets.
• Experience with BI tools (e.g. Looker, Domo, Tableau, etc.).

• Collaborative approach to partnership
• Comfortable communicating with a diverse set of backgrounds, seniority levels, and knowledge sets, particularly in translating complex data concepts to strategic recommendations
• Logical mindset capable of making appropriate trade-offs between speed and analytical depth without sacrificing quality
• A self-starter who is passionate about getting data, using data, making sense of data, and helping others benefit from making analytics driven decisions

Nice-to-Haves

• BA/BS degree or higher in Math, Statistics, Economics, Finance, Operations Research, Computer Science, Engineering, or other related quantitative field
• Industry knowledge of digital streaming services and how to approach them with an analytical lens strongly preferred.
• Experience with digital news or relevant digital analytics experience plus strong interest in news.
• Experience building and leading a small team of analysts.
• Experience with data science programming languages like Python and R.

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $91,127.00 - $169,237.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
