Job Description

The Research Data Analyst III manages complex research projects and mentor's junior colleagues. This role involves applying advanced analytical techniques, automating processes, and guiding cross-functional teams on data-driven decision-making. The position requires expertise in Python or R, advanced SQL proficiency, and strong leadership and communication skills. With an emphasis on tackling complex problems and delivering impactful insights, this role is designed for senior professionals looking to demonstrate their expertise within the role.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Lead complex data projects from conception to completion, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and research objectives.
  • Apply advanced statistical techniques, including A/B testing, predictive analytics, and regression modeling, to extract meaningful insights and forecast outcomes.
  •  Analyze complex data sets to identify patterns and trends using scripting, data blending, data visualization, and statistical techniques to help translate high-level business problems into well-informed potential strategies and solutions.
  • Develop reports and deliverables for management and analytics team.
  • Ensure compliance with deliverable reporting requirements by performing quality data audits and analysis.
  • Develop and implement automated workflows and processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of data operations.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior analysts, fostering skill development and knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with researchers, project teams, and leadership to understand requirements, define objectives, and drive data-informed decision-making.
  • Present findings and actionable insights to stakeholders through clear, compelling reports, dashboards, and presentations.
  • Perform other job functions as assigned.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 

Education:

Required: Bachelor’s degree

Years of Experience:

Required: 5–8 years of experience in data analytics, statistical analysis, or related fields Or Master’s and 3 years of experience in data analytics, statistical analysis, or related fields.

Computer Skills:

Required: 

Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python, and/or R for data manipulation and analysis.

Experience with EHR systems reporting.

Preferred: 

Experience with machine learning libraries or statistical software.

Familiarity with Epic EHR data models and Epic Cogito Reporting Platform

Experience with cloud-based analytics platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and statistical modeling tools.  

Equipment:

Standard office equipment, including a computer, dual monitors, and other peripherals.

Other Skills:

Expertise in statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and forecasting.

Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate complex and ambiguous challenges.

Proven leadership abilities, including project management and mentorship of junior staff.

Excellent communication skills, with experience presenting findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Ability to drive cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder alignment.

Pay Range

$83,200.00-$137,280.00 Salary

The pay range for this job indicates minimum and maximum targets for the position.
