Internal Audit's Digital and Analytics Services (DAS) team is seeking a data analyst with a history of innovation, collaboration and partnership to join our team. Internal Audit is chartered by the Audit and Finance Committee of Intel's Board of Directors to provide the Board and management with independent, objective advisory services and assurance on the effectiveness of governance, risk management and control processes. Internal Audit's work spans the breadth of Intel's operations, including manufacturing, engineering, technology development, supply chain, sales and marketing, and other corporate functions such as Information Technology. The DAS team supports the Internal Audit function by leveraging advanced analytics, data science, and automation to identify and assess risks, deliver projects, and increase the efficiency and effectiveness of Internal Audit's services.This role offers a distinctive opportunity to apply aspects of advanced analytics and other data science disciplines to a variety of high-impact projects across many different functions and business groups throughout Intel in ways not typically experienced in other groups due to the unique nature of Internal Audit. This role will process, cleanse and verify integrity of data as well as use data analysis techniques such as ad hoc database queries, scripting, mathematics / statistics analysis to identify, analyze and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets and provide data-informed insights that describe, predict, or improve business performance and facilitate better business decisions or data-driven recommendations. The role will interact with a wide variety of master and transactional data from different functions across the enterprise and in various systems such as SAP/HANA, SAS, ECA, etcetera. The role also facilitates the development of business self service capabilities for data acquisition and reporting as well as may support the business in report and dashboard generation. Additionally, the role is a technical liaison between various business and technical teams. From time to time, the role may provide input into the establishment or revision of standards, guidelines, procedures, and other infrastructure or work with data architecture/developer teams to implement data modeling solutions or gather business requirements, decomposing them into data and technical requirements, including data flows to other systems.Key Responsibilities:- Analyze data from various sources to identify trends, anomalies, and insights relevant to internal audit processes.
- Develop dashboards and reports that effectively communicate data or findings to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with audit teams to understand their data needs and provide analytical support. Assist in the development of data models and predictive analytics to enhance audit effectiveness.
- Conduct ad-hoc analyses as required to support audit projects and initiatives.
- Present findings and recommendations to management in a clear and concise manner.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in data analytics and internal audit.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and translate findings into actionable insights.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
Qualifications:
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, or a related field.
1+ year of experience in the following:
Data analysis or in a related role.
Data analysis tools and software (e.g., SQL, DAX, Power Query, Python).
PBI data visualization tool to create meaningful dashboards and reports.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with statistical analysis and modeling techniques.
Knowledge of database management systems and data warehousing concepts.
