Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Product Manager to join our dynamic team. As a Data Product Manager, you will be responsible for driving the development, delivery, management, and success of data-driven products within our organization. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, engineers, designers, and business stakeholders, to define product strategies, prioritize features, and deliver impactful data solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of data analytics, agile product management principles, and a passion for driving data-centric innovation.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Product Development: Lead cross-functional agile teams to design, develop, and deliver data products, ensuring high quality, scalability, and user satisfaction.
  • Product Strategy: Collaborate with stakeholders and the Data Strategy team to define and execute a data product strategy aligned with business goals and market needs.
  • Product Roadmap: Develop and maintain a comprehensive product roadmap, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and incorporating feedback from various stakeholders.
  • Requirements Gathering: Work closely with business users, data scientists, and engineers to understand data-related requirements and translate them into actionable product features.
  • Data Analysis: Conduct analysis of data sets to identify insights, trends, and opportunities that can be leveraged to enhance the product offering.
  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather feedback, manage expectations, and communicate product updates and enhancements.
  • Product Performance Tracking: Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the success of data products and drive continuous improvement efforts.
  • Market Research: Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape to identify potential product enhancements or new opportunities.
  • Data Governance: Partner with the data governance team to ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and maintain data integrity, security, and confidentiality.
  • Leadership: Mentor individual contributors, foster a collaborative work environment, and promote a culture of data-driven decision-making.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or equivalent). A Master's degree is preferred.
  • Proven experience (7 years) in product management, preferably in data-focused roles or industries.
  • Strong understanding of data analytics, data engineering, and data visualization concepts.
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies and product management frameworks.
  • Proficiency in data storage, manipulation, analysis, and visualization tools such as SQL, Snowflake, Python, Tableau or similar.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities with a keen attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver projects within defined timelines.
  • Experience with data governance, data privacy regulations, and best practices is a plus.

Fortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is Hiring Pay Range: $120,000 USD - $165,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based sales incentive plan.
