Job Description:

Blue Water Thinking is seeking an experienced and dedicated Data Quality Program Manager to join our team, supporting a large project at the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). This role requires expertise in healthcare analytics, data management, identity management, and electronic health records (EHRs). The Data Quality Program Manager will lead data governance, data quality, and identity management initiatives to improve clinical data accuracy and healthcare data integrity within a large-scale healthcare system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead data quality, identity management, and data governance initiatives within the healthcare domain.
  • Oversee the analysis and management of clinical data quality to support electronic clinical quality reporting and hospital accreditation requirements.
  • Manage the implementation and execution of data quality analytics, clinical data governance, and data stewardship programs.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in electronic health record (EHR) systems, ensuring effective data integration and optimization.
  • Collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders to implement data management best practices using industry-standard tools and processes.
  • Utilize analytical tools such as SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), TOAD, Power BI, MS Access, IBM MDM Inspector, and SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) to support data analysis and reporting.
  • Provide strategic oversight on identity management solutions for healthcare data integrity.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, data privacy, and security policies.
  • Engage with clinical and IT stakeholders to drive continuous improvements in clinical data quality and reporting.
  • Lead teams in resolving complex healthcare data integration and standardization challenges.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare, Data Science, IT, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in healthcare analytics, clinical data quality, identity management, and data governance.
  • Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems and healthcare data integration.
  • Hands-on experience with SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), TOAD, Power BI, MS Access, IBM MDM Inspector, and SSIS.
  • Strong knowledge of data management principles, identity management solutions, and healthcare data governance policies.
  • Experience implementing data quality analytics strategies in a large-scale healthcare system.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Data Science, or IT-related field.
  • Experience working with federal healthcare agencies such as VA, DoD, or HHS.
  • Certifications in Healthcare Data Management, Data Governance, or EHR-related tools.

Eligibility:

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the required federal public trust clearance for this role.

Compensation:

Salary for this position is determined by various factors, including location, the candidate’s combination of knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements.

Salary range: $145,000 - $165,000
