Data Analytics Intern (Summer 2025)

About the role

Chime is looking for an Analytics Intern to join our Analytics team at Chime.  You will lead explorations of AI-powered data tools, put them into practical use alongside your coach, and summarize your efforts into documentation in order to highlight areas for better analysis or efficiency gains within the team. You will also gain valuable professional experience learning how to drive strategic decisions using data while working with cutting edge data technology platforms and distributed systems alongside analysts with a wealth of experience to share. When extra time exists, you’ll also get the opportunity to assist in regular deep dives and experience the life of an analytics member at Chime. 

This role is structured as a 3 month engagement. The starting hourly rate offered for this role and target level of experience will begin at $34 and up to $49. The actual base salary offered may be higher, depending on your location, skills, qualifications, and experience.

In this role, you can expect to

• Evaluate the landscape of AI-enabled data tools. 
• Work with the Vice President of Analytics to engage with potential vendors of AI-enabled data tools.
• Explore use cases with Chime’s data using ChatGPT, Snowflake Cortex, Hex and other services.
• Assist with analysis projects from start to finish. 
• Deliver a presentation to Data organization leadership at the end of your internship. 

• Document findings, best practices and recommendations.
• Get to know many members of the Analytics team and hear about the exciting work we’re doing!

To thrive in this role, you have the following

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's, Master’s or PhD degree in Computer Science, Math, Statistics, Economics or a related field 
• Working knowledge of SQL and eagerness to hone your skills.
• Working knowledge of python or R. 
• Intense curiosity.
• Ability to work proactively and collaboratively within a team.
