Senior Staff Embedded AI Engineer

We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Staff Embedded AI Engineer to join our fast-growing team. As a part of a cross-functional team that is responsible for the full software development life cycle, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies and products, from conception to deployment.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Product Development: Develop and deliver highly performant, secure, and efficient AI products on embedded devices, ensuring they meet rigorous performance and quality standards.
• Innovation and Research: Conduct research and experimental development on cutting-edge AI optimization to improve resource efficiency.
• Product Alignment: Work closely with and offer technical suggestions to the Product team in defining the AI product requirements.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Engage with business development and go-to-market teams to understand client requirements and develop customized, impactful solutions.
• Stakeholder Communication: Clearly articulate complex AI concepts and solutions to non-technical stakeholders, promoting understanding and alignment.
• Documentation: Establish and maintain comprehensive documentation for AI products, including functional specifications, software architecture specifications, and user guides.
• Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.

Qualifications and Experience

• Master or PhD degree in Computer Science or related field
• 8+ years of professional software development experience.
• Proven experience as a Tech Lead or Staff Engineer in software development
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a team of engineers
• Successfully launched an AI product that generated significant ARR. Familiar with end-to-end AI product lifecycles
• Strong proficiency in C++
• Deep understanding of ML models, especially models running on embedded devices with limited resources
• Specialized in at least one type of models, e.g. image recognition, NLP, and/or models in automotive space
• Deep understanding in model optimization
• Solid experience in Linux based multithreading and IPC framework
• Experience with the prominent GenAI models
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Desired Skills and Experience

• Familiarity with Rust
• Experience with embedded systems and automotive communication protocols (e.g., CAN) is a plus.
• Experience with automotive product development (e.g. CAN, AUTOSAR, FreeRTOS, UDS, etc.).
• Experience in project management and agile development methodologies.
• Built models in automotive space, e.g. BMS, Tire wear calibration, Camera-based object recognition
