As a HRIS Data Specialist, you will be responsible for providing administrative and customer service
support in the areas of HR data entry through records management and reporting. You will work under
general supervision and perform duties such as providing comprehensive, professional customer
service, accurate data entry, information dissemination, scanning and indexing of personnel and
benefit files, and audit functions. You will collaborate on process improvement for your areas of
responsibility, as well as policy and procedure documentation for HRIS. Additionally, you will perform
all duties in accordance with HR competencies, Human Resources strategic plan and related
initiatives, and in compliance with local, state, and federal rules, regulations, and guidelines. You may
also assist with events and other projects as needed.
Responsibilities
• Perform data entry, validation, and audit of employee information in the HRIS, such as personal
details, job changes, benefits, payroll, performance, and training
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or errors related to the HRIS functionality, data quality,
or integration with other systems
• Provide technical guidance and direction to HR staff and other users on the operation and
maintenance of the HRIS
• Assist in the development of training materials and sessions to HR staff and other users on
how to use the HRIS effectively and efficiently
• Generate and distribute various reports and dashboards from the HRIS to support HR
processes, decision making, and compliance
• Collaborate with IT, payroll, benefits, and other departments to ensure the HRIS meets the
business and human resources needs of the organization
• Lead or participate in HRIS projects, such as system upgrades, enhancements,
implementations, or migrations
• Document and update HRIS policies, procedures, workflows, and best practices.
• Stay abreast of the latest trends and developments in HRIS technology and recommend
improvements or innovations
• Demonstrate excellent service to internal team members and patients
• Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a data entry role/capacity
• At least 3 years of experience in HRIS administration, preferably with a cloud-based system
such as Workday, SAP, or ADP
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong knowledge of HR processes, data standards, and compliance requirements
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
Physical Demands
• Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of
force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Repetitive
motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. The worker
must have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and
figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading. Ability to lift to 15 lbs.
independently not to exceed 50 lbs. without help.
