The One 23 Group is seeking an experienced Workflow Automation Developer (Journeyman) to design, develop, and implement automated processes that streamline business operations and improve efficiency. This role requires 5+ years of experience in workflow automation, process optimization, and software development, along with a strong understanding of business process automation (BPA), robotic process automation (RPA), and workflow management tools.


The ideal candidate will work closely with analysts, project managers, and IT teams to develop scalable automation solutions, integrate existing systems, and enhance operational workflows. (Hybrid work schedule - 80% Remote, 20% In Office)


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement workflow automation solutions to optimize business operations.
  • Collaborate with analysts, project managers, and IT teams to identify automation opportunities and enhance efficiency.
  • Develop, test, and deploy automated workflows using workflow management platforms, RPA tools, and scripting languages.
  • Analyze existing manual processes and design automated workflows that align with business objectives.
  • Ensure seamless integration between automated workflows and existing IT systems, databases, and applications.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize automated workflows to ensure performance, security, and compliance.
  • Implement error-handling mechanisms and perform system maintenance to ensure smooth operations.
  • Develop technical documentation, user guides, and training materials to support automated processes.
  • Ensure compliance with data security policies and DHS regulatory requirements related to automation.
  • Stay up-to-date on emerging automation technologies and recommend enhancements to improve workflow efficiency.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in workflow automation, software development, or process optimization.
  • Proficiency in workflow automation tools (e.g., Power Automate, UiPath, Nintex, ServiceNow, Appian).
  • Strong knowledge of scripting and programming languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript, PowerShell, VBA).
  • Experience with database integration (SQL, APIs) and cloud-based automation.
  • Familiarity with business process modeling (BPMN), robotic process automation (RPA), and AI-driven automation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify automation opportunities and optimize workflows.
  • Experience working in Agile development environments and using DevOps methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • No security clearance required, but must pass a background check.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with DHS or federal government automation projects.
  • Certifications in workflow automation tools (e.g., Microsoft Power Automate, UiPath Certified Developer).
  • Understanding of cybersecurity best practices related to automation and data handling.
  • Experience with machine learning (ML) and AI-driven automation solutions.
